House Of Cards star looks unrecognizable as she steps out with a new hair color
American Horror Story star Kate Mara was nearly unrecognizable as she stepped out in Los Angeles on Friday. Gone were the actress' usual Titian tresses and in their place were golden blonde locks styled in a loose bun at the top of her head. The Emmy nominee, 42, kept warm in the cool morning temperatures in a gold and white striped rugby shirt over a pair of black leggings. She wore black mules on her feet and carried a straw bag with peach flowers and green leaves embroidered on it. The Astronaut actress carried a nearly empty coffee drink as she made her way through the Los Feliz area. The new hair color could be the result of a whim, or due to an upcoming job. The acclaimed actress has signed to star in Imperfect Women with Elizabeth Moss and Kerry Washington. The series, initially announced more than a year ago is based on the Araminta Hall novel of the same name. The psychological thriller focuses on three longtime friends whose lives art shattered by a brutal crime. The official description from Apple+ revealed the show is a 'mystery complicated by perspective that explores guilt and retribution, love and betrayal, and the compromises we make that alter our lives irrevocably.' 'As the investigation unravels, so does the truth about how even the closest relationships can change over time.' Kate previously starred in American Horror Story as Hayden McClaine. She and her sister, Rooney Mara, 40, recently completed work on Bucking Fastard. They star as two sisters who are so close they speak in unison, love the same man, played by Orlando Bloom, and have the same dreams. In the Werner Herzog directed drama they begin to search for an imaginary land where true love is possible. Herzog reportedly met the real life twins, who inspired the story, several times and drew from that experience in writing the script, according to It was the first time the highly regarded sisters had worked on a film together. The movie was shot in Ireland and Slovenia over several weeks. The producers will be looking for buyers at the Cannes Film Festival.

Kerry Washington Confirms ‘Wisteria Lane', Says ‘Desperate Housewives' Offshoot Will Tackle 'New Challenges'
During an appearance on The View Friday for her new movie with Omar Sy Shadow Force, Kerry Washington confirmed Deadline's exclusive report from earlier this week about Wisteria Lane, a reimagining of the hit ABC mystery dramedy series Desperate Housewives, which is in development at Onyx Collective through Washington's Simpson Street production company. When The View co-host Ana Navarro referred to the project as a 'Desperate Housewives remake,' Washington tried to correct her, noting that 'it's inspired' by the popular 2004 series. As Deadline reported, Wisteria Lane, written by Natalie Chaidez (The Flight Attendant), is described as a fun, sexy, darkly comedic soap/mystery in the vein of Desperate Housewives, set among a group of five very different friends and sometimes frenemies who all live on a picture-perfect cul de sac called 'Wisteria Lane.' On the surface, all the Wisteria neighbors are living the dream: beautiful homes, gorgeous families, shiny SUVs in the driveway. But behind those white-picket fences and smiling Insta posts are SECRETS. Chaidez executive produces Wisteria Lane alongside Washington and Pilar Savone via their Simpson Street as well as Stacey Sher via Shiny Penny. It is unclear whether Washington could potentially appear on the show. 20th TV is the studio. Desperate Housewives creator/executive producer Marc Cherry was not part of the pitch but is aware of the project and could be involved in it in some capacity, sources said. There are no current plans for characters from the original series to appear on Wisteria Lane. Anthony Mackie, Jamie Dornan Heist Series '12 12 12′ Casts Jack Kesy
Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan's upcoming heist series at Apple TV+ has added Jack Kesy to its cast, Variety has learned. The series landed at Apple back in May 2024. The official logline for the series states: ''12 12 12′ unfolds across the three propulsive timelines of a heist: the 12 months of planning, the 12 hours of the heist, and the 12 days following the heist. The series follows a disgraced FBI agent (Mackie) and an American career criminal (Dornan) who play a zero-sum game of cat and mouse across Europe. At the center of it all is the daring, epic raid on a bank vault deep beneath the streets of Zurich.' Brett Goldstein Compares ‘Ted Lasso' Season 4 To Dead Cat: 'We Buried It'
Brett Goldstein recently commented on Ted Lasso's upcoming revival… but it sounded more like something out of a Stephen King story. The series writer and Roy Kent actor compared the Apple TV+ series' long-gestating fourth season, which he confirmed is 'in the writers' room at the moment,' to a friend's cat that was seemingly brought back from the dead.
