Japan ice cream maker to bring frozen treat to New Zealand, Australia

NAGOYA, Japan -- Imuraya Group will bring its signature red bean bars and other frozen confections to New Zealand and Australia, using Japanese ingredients and technology to appeal to the region's many ice cream lovers.
The Japanese maker of Azuki red bean bars has expanded in Asia and North America, setting up subsidiaries in China in 2000, the U.S. in 2009 and Malaysia in 2019. In Oceania, Imuraya aims to expand beyond the region's Asian grocery stores and bring its products to the mass market.
