Justin Bieber not a victim of Sean ‘Diddy' Combs, his rep tells media

REUTERS/Mario Anzuoni/File Photo LOS ANGELES - Singer Justin Bieber was not a victim of Sean "Diddy" Combs but supports others who were and are seeking justice from the hip-hop mogul facing federal sex trafficking charges, TMZ and People reported on Friday, quoting Bieber's representative. Bieber rose to fame in the music world as a teenager and had socialized and performed with Combs, who is 24 years his senior. Videos of the two spending time together prompted online speculation that Combs may have abused Bieber. "Although Justin is not among Sean Combs' victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him," a spokesperson for Bieber said in a statement reported by TMZ and People. "Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve," the spokesperson added. Representatives for Combs and Bieber did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment. On trial in Manhattan, Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to five felony counts of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. Lawyers for Combs say he never forced anyone to engage in sexual acts against their will, and the days long, drug-fueled parties Combs called "Freak Offs" were consensual sexual activity. Bieber, 31, became a star at age 13 after a manager discovered videos of the Canadian singing on YouTube. Allegations of abuse by Combs emerged on social media along with video of a teenage Bieber with an adult Combs. One video, posted on Bieber's YouTube page in 2009, showed Combs saying the pair were spending two days together. "Where we hanging out and what we're doing we can't really disclose. But it's definitely a 15-year-old's dream," Combs said in the video. "For the next 48 hours, he's with me. And we're gonna go full, buck full crazy," Combs added. When asked what he wants to do, Bieber, aged 15, said, "Let's just go get some girls." The pair also appeared together on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in 2011. "He knows better than to be talking about things that he does with Big Brother Puff on national television," said Combs, who performed previously as Puff Daddy. In 2023, they collaborated on a song called "Moments." REUTERS Join ST's Telegram channel and get the latest breaking news delivered to you.

8 Met Gala hair and makeup looks that truly belong in a museum

2. Billie Eilish (2021): Blonde bombshell reminagined In a pale peach Oscar de la Renta gown and platinum blonde waves, Billie Eilish channelled Marilyn Monroe with a twist. Her beauty look—brushed-up brows, soft lashes and a satin pink lip—signalled a dramatic departure from her signature grunge aesthetic. It was a deliberate, almost cinematic transformation that honoured the night's 'In America: A Lexicon of Fashion' theme without resorting to cliché. Elegance, but make it subversive. 3. Lupita Nyong'o (2016): Sculptural hair art Above Lupita Nyong'o attends the 'Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology' Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. (Photo by Dimitrios Kambouris / Getty Images) Nyong'o's towering hair—crafted by Vernon François—nodded to both African tradition and vintage showgirls. It was more than a hairstyle; it was a cultural statement built with precision and pride. Her emerald eye make-up played off her Calvin Klein gown, creating a cohesive story that elevated the Met Gala red carpet to fine art. 4. Rihanna (2015): Imperial drama Clad in Guo Pei's imperial yellow robe, Rihanna matched the scale of her dress with gilded make-up and a dramatic brow. Her bronzed complexion glowed against her matte red lip, delivering a regal fantasy that honoured the theme, 'China: Through the Looking Glass', without veering into caricature. It was a masterclass in cultural sensitivity and star power. 5. Zendaya (2018): Joan of Arc, but make it beauty Her chainmail Versace gown was unforgettable, but it was the auburn bob and metallic make-up that truly sealed Zendaya's transformation. Smoky lids gave her a warpaint edge, while sculpted cheekbones recalled both saint and warrior. In a sea of predictable glam, she wielded beauty as narrative weaponry. 6. Billy Porter (2019): Golden deity Above Billy Porter attends The 2019 Met Gala 'Celebrating Camp: Notes on Fashion' at Metropolitan Museum of Art. (Photo by John Lamparski / Getty Images) Flanked by six shirtless attendants, Porter descended on the Met Gala carpet like a sun god. His face was adorned with gold leaf accents, winged liner and lashes that rivalled Cleopatra's. The look and the entrance were pure theatre, and the stuff of Met Gala stories to come. 7. Erykah Badu (2014): Afro-futurist cool Wearing a wide-brimmed hat and glowing skin, Eryka Badu brought restrained yet radical energy to the 'Charles James: Beyond Fashion' theme. Her dark liner and bold lip anchored an otherwise stripped-down palette. Badu's beauty philosophy has always leaned anti-trend, and at the Met Gala, it read as both defiant and deeply curated. 8. Lady Gaga (2019): Performance in layers Arriving in multiple Brandon Maxwell ensembles, Gaga turned the Met Gala into live theatre. Her beauty look had to keep up: platinum waves, doll-like lashes and a pink lip that echoed camp Barbie. Even as she stripped down to lingerie, the make-up stayed pristine, reminding us that transformation isn't just costume—it's cosmetic storytelling.

Sha'Carri Richardson Is Having the Most Fun at the 2025 Met Gala

"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." The fastest woman in the world just glided down the Met Gala red carpet. Sha'carri Richardson topped the list of record-breaking athletes who attended the fashion event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art tonight—including several WNBA stars such as Angel Reese, and Olympic gymnast Simone Biles. Richardson made her entrance in one of the most fun looks of the night: a strapless butter-yellow chiffon dress with knotted bands at the center, courtesy of Valentino by Alessandro Michele. The piece was layered over a lavender wisteria lace bodice in a floral pattern, also from the designer. A large bow on the back formed the yellow dress' long tail, and the track and field sprinter made sure to add on plenty of accessories: bedazzled silver heart earrings, a faux-pearl bracelet with another dangling heart to match the earrings, and some chunky rings, all from Alex Moss. The look stayed true to Richardson's maximalist style. As always, the runner put special attention on her glam. Her hair was adorned with yellow and white bows all over, and she wore a smoky lavender eyeshadow, pink blush and glitter on her cheeks, and super-glossy pink lip. Her nails, however, took the cake. She wore a pointy, colorful, busy manicure that looked like yummy, sugary candy. Richardson even bit on it as she posed on the blue carpet. This is not Richardson's first Met Gala, she also attended the event in 2021, when the theme was 'In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.' Then, she wore a motorcore-inspired strapless dress with a red leather bodice and a black leather skirt with cutouts and fringe. In the years since, she's been far too busy winning trophies to walk many red carpets. In 2023, she broke several records, including the world championship record in the 100-meter dash. And in 2024, she won a silver medal at the Paris Olympics in the women's 100-meter final. The athlete, who celebrated her first-ever beauty partnership with Olay ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics, sat down with Harper's Bazaar to talk all things beauty. 'I feel like self-care is very important, especially as a woman, especially for Black women,' she said, adding of her partnership, 'It feels like a new journey in just discovering a different part of myself as an individual.' She also spoke of her love of makeup. 'My nails, for sure,' Richardson said of her beauty priorities. 'And I definitely like to intensify my eyes, to make my eyes pop. And having a nice [lip] gloss.' That trifecta, she says, 'intensifies the confidence that I already have.'
