Qualcomm showcases vision for smarter, safer mobility at Snapdragon Auto Day in India

Marking a significant milestone in its automotive endeavour, Qualcomm Technologies hosted its first-ever Snapdragon for India Auto Day 2025, unveiling its latest suite of connected-car technologies, including the Snapdragon Digital the heart of the showcase was the Snapdragon Digital Chassis, a modular, scalable platform that powers connectivity, infotainment, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and cloud-connected services. The Digital Chassis is designed to enable safe, intelligent, immersive, and customisable driving experiences, tailored for India's unique driving innovation at the coreSpeaking at the event, Savi Soin, President of Qualcomm India, underlined India's growing importance in Qualcomm's global automotive roadmap. 'India is not low-end anymore, it's about premium, intelligent automotive experiences, and Snapdragon is here to deliver that with local innovation,' Soin now serves as Qualcomm's largest global engineering hub, contributing heavily to the development of digital cockpit systems, contextual AI, and safety features optimised for Indian digital chassisQualcomm's vision is built around four key elements: Snapdragon Cockpit in the Padmini. Snapdragon Cockpit: An AI-enabled architecture offering rich graphics, intelligent audio, virtual assistants, and multi-screen infotainment to create an immersive in-cabin Car-to-Cloud: Enables over-the-air (OTA) updates and subscription-based features, allowing vehicles to continuously evolve Ride and Ride Flex: A scalable ADAS platform designed for everything from basic driver alerts to Level 2+ assisted driving, with robust support for real-time mapping and computer Auto Connectivity: Delivers secure and seamless 4G/5G communications, GPS, and V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) tech, enabling real-time safety and infotainment partnershipsQualcomm's technologies are already embedded in vehicles from major Indian manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Tata Motors, Hero MotoCorp, Royal Enfield, and Ultraviolette. Snapdragon platforms have powered infotainment and connectivity in Maruti Suzuki models since 2022, and will be integrated into upcoming EVs like the BE 6 and XUV 9e were also highlighted as key collaborations, featuring creative integrations such as and Melodic Drive experiences powered by Qualcomm's audio and sensing and beyondThe event also spotlighted Qualcomm's expanding focus on two-wheelers.
