Defence ministry inks Rs 2,000 crore contract to procure fire control radars for Army

The defence ministry has signed a Rs 2,000 crore contract with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) to procure air defence fire control radars for the Indian Army. These indigenously designed radars, with at least 70% local content, can detect various airborne threats like fighter aircraft, helicopters, and drones.
