Mumbai: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday arrested sub-inspector Jayshree Londhe and constable Jayaprakash Mali posted at Vinoba Bhave Nagar police station in Kurla for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 to protect two accused booked in a case. According to ACB, last week, Londhe summoned the complainant and his friend to the police station and allegedly demanded Rs 1 lakh as bribe to prevent their names from being implicated in another offence.
