President's police medal for two SCR Rail Protection Force officers
Two Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel of South Central Railway have been bestowed with prestigious President's Police Medal on the occasion of 79th Independence Day - for Outstanding and Meritorious Services. The awardees are - Divisional Security Commissioner, RPF/ Guntur, Gollamudi Madhusudana Rao, and Assistant Security Commissioner, RPF/Renigunta, K. Rajagopala Reddy. Mr. Rao joined RPF as a Sub-Inspector in 1989 and over the last 36 years, rose to his present rank serving with distinction in various divisions. He was also awarded the Indian Police Medal during Republic Day 2016, DG/RPF Insignia in 2014, General Manager's Medal and 16 DRM Awards. Mr. Reddy too has been earlier decorated with Indian Police Medal in 2012 (Republic Day), All India Railway Minister's Medals for Best Investigation on two occasions, DG insignia, GM's medals and several other awards for detecting several difficult cases. He also represented India in UN Peacekeeping Missions in Kosovo and South Sudan as Police Advisor for about two years - upon which he was also awarded with the UN Peacekeeping Medals. GM Sanjay Kumar Srivastava congratulated the awardees, as per a press release on Thursday.

2 RPF personnel bestowed with President's Police Medal
Hyderabad: Two Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel of South Central Railway have been bestowed with the prestigious President's Police Medal on the occasion of 79th Independence Day – 2025 for outstanding and meritorious services. The awardees are Gollamudi Madhusudana Rao, Divisional Security Commissioner, RPF/ Guntur and K. Rajagopala Reddy, Assistant Security Commissioner, RPF/Renigunta. Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, SCR congratulated the awardees and expressed happiness at the recognition received for their service at the National level. He commended their dedication to duty and efforts in ensuring safety and security of Rail passengers and property. He stated that it is a proud moment not just for the Railway Protection Force but for the entire SCR zone. Gollamudi Madhusudana Rao joined the RPF as a Sub-Inspector in 1989. Throughout his career, he has served with distinction in various divisions of SCR as Sub-Inspector and Inspector. Upon promotion as Assistant Security Commissioner, he served in the Railway Board, Rail Wheel Factory/Yelahanka, Hubballi Division/SWR, 7th Bn/RPSF/Moula-Ali, and Vijayawada Division between 2014 and 2025. K Rajagopala Reddy was decorated with the Indian Police Medal in the year 2012 (Republic Day) also. He represented India in United Nations Peacekeeping Missions in Kosovo and South Sudan as Police Advisor for about 2 years during difficult times and has been awarded with 4 United Nations Peacekeeping Medals.

MBNR ASI honoured with Indian Police Medal
Mahabubnagar: Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Mohammed Moizuddin from Mahabubnagar has been awarded the Indian Police Medal (IPM) by the Government of India on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day. Joining the force in 1989 as a young Police Constable, Moizuddin's career has been marked by dedication and discipline. Over the years, he has served in several key police stations including Alampur, Thimmajipet, Jadcherla, Peddakothapally, and Kosgi. His commitment earned him a promotion to Head Constable in 2012, followed by his elevation to ASI in 2018. Since then, he has worked in the CCS Mahabubnagar, Hanwada, and Traffic Police Station, and is currently posted at Koilkonda Police Station. Moizuddin's career speaks for itself—70 cash rewards, 18 GSEs, 12 appreciation certificates, a Seva Medal (2013), the Telangana Chief Minister's Distinguished Police Medal (2017), and the Uttak Police Medal (2019). Congratulating him on the honour, Mahabubnagar District SP D Janaki, said, 'His discipline, dedication, and unwavering commitment to public service are truly commendable. This award is a fitting tribute to his remarkable contribution to the police department.'

CBI veteran investigator honoured with President's Medal

Now, 36 years later, the additional superintendent of police in the CBI's anti-corruption branch, Hyderabad, has been honoured with the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
