IGRUA fleet shrinks to 13 after accidents

In addition to its main base IGRUA has also started additional base for round the year detachment flying at Birsi Airport, Gondia (Maharashtra) and plan to fly at other places," the minister a separate written reply, Mohol said the production and use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) on a large scale in the country faces various challenges, such as high capital and operational expenditure, and expensive challenges are fragmented supply chains, absence of long-term off-take agreements between airline companies and Oil Marketing Companies for procurement of SAF, absence of policies support like tax benefits and subsidies for SAF production, he has joined ICAO's Assistance, Capacity-building and Training for Sustainable Aviation Fuels (ACT-SAF) programme, which aims to support the mitigation of CO2 emissions from international civil aviation in ICAO Member International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has adopted a market-based measure -- Carbon Offsetting Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) to reduce carbon emissions from international aviation."India, being a member state of the ICAO, is under obligation to comply with the mandatory phase of CORSIA from 2027. Under the CORSIA scheme airlines are required to offset their emissions, above a set baseline," the minister to him, the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG) has informed that public sector oil companies are engaged in setting up pilot/commercial scale facilities to produce SAF, including standalone as well as co-processing plants."The government has approved indicative blending targets of 1 per cent by 2027, 2 per cent by 2028, and 5 per cent by 2030 for SAF in ATF, initially for international flights," Mohol added.

New Delhi: Famous top model-turned-actor Mukul Dev's sudden death has left the industry people and his fans in a state of shock. He died on Friday, May 23, 2025 morning. The dashing star featured in a several Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu films. Not many know that he was a trained pilot from the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi. Mukul's last chilling Instagram post was shared on February 26, 2025. He posted a glimpse from his two-seat, single-engine, high-wing airplane. Surrounded by clouds, he watched the setting sun and the caption of the video reads: 'And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too…. I'll see you on the dark side of the moon. #crosscountry." The karaoke version of Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side Of The Moon' played in the background. He would often post throwback posts and anecdotes from his flight training. Mukul had been ill for the past few days and was admitted to the ICU. Despite all efforts, he could not recover. He is survived by his elder brother, actor Rahul Dev and daughter. The exact cause of his death has not been disclosed yet. His close friend and actor Vindu Dara Singh's video with Mukul Dev from Son Of Sardaar 2 shooting also caught attention amid his death news. Mukul Dev made his acting debut on TV with a serial named Mumkin in 1996. He also acted in Doordarshan's Ek Se Badh Kar Ek, a comedy Bollywood countdown show. He was also the host of Fear Factor India Season 1. He made his Bollywood debut in 1996 with Dastak, a film which also introduced Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen. More recently, he played supporting roles in the Hindi films Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011), Son of Sardaar (2012), R... Rajkumar (2013) and Jai Ho (2014). Shortly before his death, he shot for Son of Sardaar 2 which will mark his final film appearance. May his soul rest in peace!

New Delhi: Salman Khan paid tribute to his Jai Ho co-star Mukul Dev, who died at the age of 54 on Friday night. Salman Khan remembered the late actor by sharing an old photo from the sets of their 2014 film Jai Ho on his Instagram Stories. Alongside the picture, he wrote, "Miss you, my dear brother Mukul. Rest in peace." The final rites of Mukul Dev were performed on May 24 at the Lodhi Crematorium in Delhi's Nizamuddin area. Mukul was last seen in the Hindi film Anth The End. He was the younger brother of actor Rahul Dev. Born in New Delhi to a Punjabi family, Mukul Dev had roots in a village near Jalandhar. His father, Hari Dev, served as an assistant commissioner of police and introduced him to Afghan culture. He was fluent in Pashto and Persian. Mukul Dev's first experience with performance came while he was in Class 8, when he impersonated Michael Jackson in a dance show organised by Doordarshan. He received his first pay cheque for this act. He was also a trained pilot, having studied at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi. Mukul began his acting career in television with the serial Mumkin in 1996, playing the role of Vijay Pandey. He later appeared in Doordarshan's Ek Se Badh Kar Ek, a Bollywood countdown comedy show, and also hosted the first season of Fear Factor India. He made his film debut with Dastak, where he played ACP Rohit Malhotra. The film also marked the acting debut of former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen.

The unexpected passing of television and Bollywood actor Mukul Dev has left his family, friends, and industry peers in deep shock. As per reports, the actor had been unwell and hospitalised for the past 8–10 days before he breathed his last on May 23. Actress Kishwer Merchant , who had worked with Mukul Dev before and knew him well, is deeply saddened by the news of his death. The actress shared a story on her Instagram account, remembering the late actor and expressed his grief at his sudden demise. She wrote, "Had not met u since ages... but a picture of u would always bring a smile on my face... kaise u use to imitate me, make fun of me, your stories, your energy during night shifts, and how talking about your daughter use to be Ur favourite thing!" She further added, "Mukli is what I called u, today your pic has made me sad... very sad! RIP my friend! Strength to your family to deal with this unbearable loss!" Mukul's last rites took place in Delhi today in the presence of his close family and friends. His brother Rahul Dev looked devastated at the last rites.
