Concord police investigate after Facebook Marketplace seller allegedly pulls gun on buyer

Concord Police are investigating a Facebook Marketplace meetup that went south this week, after the seller of an item allegedly pointed a gun at the buyer and threatened to shoot him. Concord Police say just before 12:30 p.m on Monday officers were dispatched to the area of Fort Eddy Road to investigate a report of criminal threatening. According to police, a man reported he responded to a Facebook Marketplace ad and had arranged to meet an unknown person in a business parking lot on Fort Eddy Rd. to buy an Apple iPhone. The man indicated that, during the transaction, the seller of the item pointed a firearm at him and threatened to shoot him after he asked for his money back, police said. The incident occurred in the parking lot in front of a Petco store at 35 Fort Eddy Road. Police said the seller was operating a white vehicle, similar in shape and size to an Infinti Q50, with tinted windows and an unknown Massachusetts license plate. Concord Police are asking for assistance from the public, specifically possible witnesses to the incident, in investigating the incident. Anyone with information relating to the investigation are asked to contact Detective Carter of the Concord Police Department at 603-225-8600.
