Biocon Biologics Ltd (BBL), a fully integrated global biosimilars company and a subsidiary of Biocon Ltd, announced that its commercial partner in Japan, Yoshindo Inc., has launched Ustekinumab BS Subcutaneous Injection [YD], a biosimilar version of the reference drug Stelara® (ustekinumab). This biosimilar ustekinumab, developed and manufactured by Biocon Biologics, is being marketed and commercialized in Japan by Yoshindo Inc. Ustekinumab is a monoclonal antibody indicated for the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris and psoriatic arthritis (PsA). The biosimilar was developed and manufactured by Biocon Biologics and received approval from Japan's Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) in December 2024. This launch follows a settlement and licensing agreement signed in April 2024 between Biocon Biologics and Janssen Biotech Inc., Janssen Sciences Ireland, and Johnson & Johnson, allowing commercialization of Ustekinumab in Japan after regulatory approval. Marking 40 years of operations in India, India Yamaha Motor has introduced a 10-year 'Total Warranty' program for its entire made-in-India range of motorcycles and scooters, setting a new standard in two-wheeler reliability and customer comprehensive warranty package includes a 2-year standard warranty and an 8-year extended warranty, covering key components like the engine, electricals, and Fuel Injection (Fi) system. This move aligns with Yamaha's premium brand strategy and its commitment to offering long-term peace of mind to Indian the new scheme, Yamaha's hybrid scooters—Ray ZR Fi and Fascino 125 Fi—as well as the Aerox 155 Version S, will be covered up to 1,00,000 km. Caplin Point Laboratories said that its subsidiary Caplin Steriles has been granted final approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) Haloperidol Decanoate Injection. The approved drug is a generic therapeutic equivalent version of the reference listed drug (RLD) HALDOL (haloperidol decanoate) Injection, by Janssen Pharmaceuticals Inc. Haloperidol Decanoate Injection indicated for the treatment of patients with schizophrenia who require prolonged parenteral antipsychotic therapy. According to IQVIA (IMS Health), Haloperidol Decanoate Injection had US sales of approximately $16.4 million for the 12-month period ending March 2025.
