Orlando Pirates: 'From Sundowns to Kaizer Chiefs'

Orlando Pirates have been the busiest team of the PSL transfer window. Orlando Pirates have been busier than their rivals, Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns in the PSL transfer window. The Bucs have released 10 players. Meanwhile, Pirates have signed 11 new stars. Furthermore, they have also had big paperwork done with both Amakhosi and The Brazilians recently. Innocent Maela (Unattached) Miguel Timm (Unattached) Paseka Mako (Kaizer Chiefs) Thabiso Monyane (Kaizer Chiefs) Phillip Ndlondlo (Unattached) Monnapule Saleng (Orbit College) Mohau Nkota (Al Ettifaq) Azola Tshobeni (Chippa United) Zakhele Lepasa (Unattached). He will be joined by former teammate, Mosele who is set to be loaned out to Chippa. Speaking of loans, Saleng has been loaned to Orbit College. This is one of the most surprising moves of the recent transfer window. Also, Nkota's move to El-Ittifaq is a big one considering that he is the only Bucs star who has signed for another country this transfer window. However, this could change with reports claiming that Pirates have agreed to sell Mofokeng. Sipho Mbule (Mamelodi Sundowns) Yanela Mbuthuma (from Richards Bay) Masindi Nemtajela (Marumo Gallants) Tshepang Moremi (AmaZulu) Nkosikhona Ndaba (Richards Bay) Abdoulaye Mariko (Djoliba AC) Sinoxolo Kwayiba (Chippa United) Tshepo Mashiloane (Baroka) Sihle Nduli (Stellenbosch) Oswin Appollis (Polokwane City) Kamogelo Sebelebele (TS Galaxy). Pirates have signed 11 new players. 10 of them are from PSL rivals. Most noticeably, Mbule joined the Bucs from Sundowns. Orlando Pirates star wants to leave! Several clubs lined up

This Orlando Pirates player is unhappy and is actively searching for a new club to join. Orlando Pirates have released FIVE players so far – Innocent Maela, Miguel Timm, Paseka Mako, Thabiso Monyane and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo. However, they are not done with trimming their squad. In fact, FOUR more Bucs players are heading out of Mayfair. Now, one of them is searching for a new club with plans for his departure already underway. Karim Kimvuidi wants to leave Pirates. Moreover, the midfielder is pursuing a move to another club. 'Kimvuidi is pursuing a move from Pirates after two years of battling to establish himself as a regular at the club despite all the potential he showed while at Maritzburg United,' the insider stated on KickOff. He is unhappy with his lack of playing time. So, he is now in search of more regular playing time. Given Pirates recent transfer activity, his situation is unlikely to change. They have signed high quality midfielders such as Sihle Nduli, Sipho Mbule and promising defensive midfielder Masindi Nemtajela. Meaning, he is set to fall further down the Bucs midfield pecking order. Therefore, an exit is in the best interest of both parties. Pirates have recieved enquiries from Europe (Belgium and Spain) for Kimvuidi. 'Kimvuidi has also had enquiries from Belgium club Royal Chaleroi while his name was also rubbed on Spanish second tier league club Real Racing Club de Santander,' the insider added. Meanwhile top sides in Africa have also reached out to Pirates about Kimvuidi's availability. TP Mazembe and Algerian club JS Kabyile have expressed interest in signing the Bucs midfielder. However, the latter (JS Kabyile) interest has been deterred as they are not willing to pay more than R3.5 million for Kimvuidi with a R7-million price tag attached, according to the same publication. Pirates new head coach Ouaddou will be appointing a new captain to take charge of a new-look Bucs side as the Soweto giants usher in the new era. Pirates have signed a total of NINE new players from the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns, PSL rivals, African giants as well as Bafana Bafana. Meanwhile, as mentioned, FIVE Bucs stars have left. Additionally, another FOUR Pirates players are heading out of Mayfair. Let us know by clicking on the comment tab. Email us on info@ or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211. Orlando Pirates new era: New captain to be appointed

Orlando Pirates are ushering in a new era with Abdeslam Ouaddou set to appoint a new Bucs captain. Orlando Pirates will look very different next season. They have a new head coach in charge in Abdeslam Ouaddou. Furthermore, he is set to appoint a new Bucs captain following the departure of Innocent Maela. Former club captain, Innocent Maela is one of the players who have left Pirates so far. He followed Miguel Timm, Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane out the exit door at Mayfair. Given the fact that he was the club captain, there is now a need for Ouaddou to appoint a new man to wear the coveted Bucs captaincy armband. The front-runners are Nkosinathi Sibisi and Tapelo Xoki. Both defenders have been solid at the back for Pirates for several seasons now. They lead on the field with their performances. Thus, putting them in the position for this coveted honour. Furthermore, both defenders led Pirates during the 2024/25 season during Maela's absence. Therefore, they are both well-positioned to take over the Bucs captaincy from Maela. Pirates have signed a total of NINE new players from the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns, PSL rivals, African giants as well as Bafana Bafana. Whilst, a couple of big-name players are set to be unveiled by the Soweto giants. Meanwhile, as mentioned, FOUR Bucs stars have left. Additionally, another FOUR Pirates players are heading out of Mayfair. Stay tuned to The South African for all the latest Pirates player movements – signings and departures – as they happen. Orlando Pirates face captaincy saga amid several signings!

Following Innocent Maela's exit, Orlando Pirates offseason just got trickier as they now face the burden of juggling crucial internal and external situations. According to reports, defender Nkosinathi Sibisi is being highly-linked with taking over the armband duties, but, like announcing their new coach, only time will tell as to who will don the new role. Orlando Pirates have wasted no time this offseason window, an action perhaps ignited on the back of their dismal January transfer window, which saw them come up empty handed while Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs welcomed several players. Sihle Nduli, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, and Baroka FC defender Tshepho Moshiloane have reportedly already put pen to paper with the Sowetan outfit. 'We still got to pay Mashiloane until the end of June, but Orlando Pirates have purchased Mashiloane for the coming season, not this season,' Baroka' FC's chairman Khurishi Mphahlele informed iDiski Times . 'But if Pirates want Mashiloane earlier there's no problem we've got an agreement with Pirates. We can always make provision for that, but we are going to pay Mashiloane at the end of June because his contract ends at the end of June and the Pirates contract begins on the first of July. 'From the first of July he is an Orlando Pirates player, until then he's still our player and we pay him.' Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1. Now, reports suggest his hard-work has paid off and a lucrative offer is on the table! 'He should be an Orlando Pirates player and they are offering him a five-year contract from July this year until June 2030,' an insider told Soccer Laduma . 'It's a very good contract for a young defender like him. Remember he is only 22-years-old and has been doing very well for Richards Bay and it will be a loss to them but a win for Pirates.'
