Toyota records 22% YoY growth in May 2025, 30,864 units sold
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) reported a robust 22% year-on-year sales growth in May 2025, selling 30,864 units compared to 25,273 units in May 2024. The company's performance included 29,280 domestic units and 1,584 export sales for the first two months of FY 2025–26 (April–May) reached 58,188 units, reflecting a 27% increase over the 45,767 units sold in the same period of FY 2024–25. Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business at TKM, attributed the growth to strong customer trust and a favourable market outlook. 'In May, we achieved a growth of 22%, a testament to the enduring trust and support of our valued customers,' Wadhwa said. 'With the onset of the monsoon and forecasts indicating a normal to above-normal season, we remain optimistic about improved market sentiment, particularly in rural and semi-urban regions.'advertisementTKM's SUV and MPV segments were the primary drivers of its May performance, with a combined 34% sales increase for April–May FY 2025–26 compared to the previous year. Models such as the Innova HyCross, Fortuner, and Urban Cruiser Hyryder have resonated strongly with Indian consumers, reflecting a growing preference for versatile and reliable mobility options. The company also celebrated a milestone with the Toyota Fortuner and Legender surpassing cumulative sales of 3 lakh units in India, solidifying their dominance in the premium SUV category. Toyota Kirloskar's May sales rise 22% to 30,864 units
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Sunday reported a 22 per cent increase in sales in May, 2025. The carmaker sold 30,864 units last month, including exports of 1,584 units. Srong demand for its MPV and SUV segments and the launch of the Innova HyCross exclusive edition contributed to the overall growth, the company said. The carmaker sold 25,273 units in May 2024. In the first two months of FY26, TKM sold 58,188 units, registering a growth of 27 per cent from the 45,767 units sold during the same period in FY25. These segments experienced a combined sales increase of 34 per cent during April–May FY 2025–26 compared to the same period last year. Toyota product expansion The Japanese carmaker reached a milestone with its Fortuner and Legender models, cumulatively selling 3 lakh units of these premium SUVs in India. Toyota has also expanded its MPV offerings with the Innova HyCross Exclusive Edition. This edition features 19 upgrades designed to enhance its hybrid capabilities. The positive response to the Innova HyCross Exclusive Edition highlights its strong market traction. TKM is optimistic about maintaining its growth trajectory in the coming months.

Toyota launches exclusive edition of Innova HyCross ZX(O) at ₹32,58,000
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched an exclusive edition of the Innova HyCross in the ZX(O) grade, priced at ₹32,58,000 ex-showroom. It will be available from May 2025 through July 2025 in limited quantities and two colours--super white and pearl white.
