HeartBeam Wins Industry Innovation Award for Advancing Remote Cardiac Care With Groundbreaking ECG Technology

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- HeartBeam, Inc. (NASDAQ: BEAT), a medical technology company focused on transforming cardiac care by providing powerful personalized insights, today announced it has been awarded the Innovation Award in Remote Cardiac Diagnostics as part of the 2025 Medical Device Network Excellence Awards. The award honors HeartBeam's groundbreaking, FDA-cleared electrocardiogram (ECG) technology that enables clinical-grade diagnostics for arrhythmia assessment outside of traditional healthcare settings, expanding access to timely and actionable cardiac care. The Medical Device Network Excellence Awards, powered by GlobalData's business intelligence, is one of the most respected independent recognition programs in the industry. The program analyzes over one billion datasets annually to recognize forward-thinking companies that drive positive change and set new standards for excellence across the global medical device sector. The award recognizes HeartBeam's proprietary 3D ECG technology which captures the heart's electrical signals in 3 distinct, non-coplanar directions and then synthesizes these signals into a 12-lead ECG. The technology makes it possible to provide diagnostic fidelity similar to a standard 12-lead ECG in a credit card-sized, cable-free device which enables patients to record their arrhythmia symptoms the moment they occur. The 12-lead ECG synthesis software is currently under review by FDA, and upon FDA clearance, HeartBeam plans to initiate commercialization. 'This recognition affirms our vision of transforming how cardiac conditions are monitored and detected and validates our belief that access to high-fidelity ECG data should not be limited by healthcare settings,' said Robert Eno, Chief Executive Officer of HeartBeam. 'As we continue to prepare for the market introduction of the HeartBeam System, this award highlights our leadership position in delivering clinically validated, patient-centric solutions to advance remote cardiac care.' The Medical Device Network Excellence Award adds to the growing body of industry recognitions HeartBeam has received, including the Pinnacle Healthcare Award, Digital Health Hub Foundation Award, and MedTech Breakthrough Award. About HeartBeam, Inc. HeartBeam, Inc. (NASDAQ: BEAT) is a medical technology company dedicated to transforming the detection and monitoring of critical cardiac conditions. The Company is creating the first-ever cable-free device capable of collecting ECG signals in 3D, from three non-coplanar directions, and synthesizing the signals into a 12-lead ECG. This platform technology is designed for portable devices that can be used wherever the patient is to deliver actionable heart intelligence. Physicians will be able to identify cardiac health trends and acute conditions and direct patients to the appropriate care – all outside of a medical facility, thus redefining the future of cardiac health management. HeartBeam's 3D ECG technology received FDA clearance for arrhythmia assessment in December 2024. The 12-Lead ECG synthesis software is under FDA review. The Company holds over 20 issued patents related to technology enablement. A faster way to power your career move in tech

For Mr Daniel Teo, a facilities manager at the National Parks Board (NParks), upskilling with new tech skills helped him make a bigger impact at work. Managing energy data across more than 400 parks, Mr Teo had built a dashboard on his own. But without formal training, he hit a ceiling when it came to automating tasks and incorporating advanced features. To deepen his skills, he enrolled in the Specialist Diploma in Data Analytics at Ngee Ann Polytechnic's (NP) School of InfoComm Technology (ICT). Designed for working adults, the part-time programme gave him the flexibility to upskill while continuing in his full-time role. He picked up essential coding and learnt to use robotic process automation tools. The result? He developed an automation solution that saved NParks the workload of one full-time data entry staff. His initiative earned him both a Public Sector Transformation Award and an NParks Innovation Award. Encouraged by the experience, Mr Teo completed a second course – the Specialist Diploma in Applied Generative AI – in six months. 'The specialist diplomas enabled me to move from traditional facilities management into a more tech-driven position,' he said. 'I now use AI and data analytics to streamline processes and improve productivity.' Mr Teo's story reflects a growing number of professionals who are building future-ready skills while remaining active in the workforce – a goal that NP ICT's part-time programmes aim to support. 02:53 Min LEARN AT YOUR OWN PACE NP ICT's courses are built with flexibility in mind. Classes follow a blended learning model that combines online and in-person sessions, helping learners balance study with work and personal commitments. Modules can be stacked towards specialist diplomas, so learners can choose to progress at a comfortable pace or fast-track their learning. For instance, the Specialist Diploma in Data Analytics can be completed in nine months, and some learners have completed two specialist diplomas in under two years. Graduates of selected ICT part-time diplomas may receive exemptions of up to 12 subject credits when applying for ModularMaster programmes at the Singapore University of Technology and Design, in fields such as data science and cybersecurity. CREDENTIALS THAT MATTER Beyond flexibility, NP ICT's programmes are designed to deliver real outcomes in today's job market. Many include industry-recognised certifications from organisations such as CompTIA, EC-Council and PeopleCert, enabling learners to graduate with both academic qualifications and professional credentials valued by employers. NP ICT works closely with industry to keep its training relevant. Corporate programmes are co-developed with companies such as UOB, foodpanda and YouTrip to ensure the content reflects current workplace needs. 'We understand the demands that working adults face – limited time, competing responsibilities and the need for tangible outcomes,' said Dr Joel Yang, director of NP ICT. 'That's why our programmes are modular and industry-aligned, equipping learners with the credentials and confidence to take the next step in their careers.' Mr Jesse Loh's journey shows how this approach can open new doors. Formerly a continuous improvement specialist in logistics, he now works as a cybersecurity analyst at Visa. While on a traineeship at the company, Mr Loh enrolled in NP ICT's Specialist Diploma in Cybersecurity Practice to strengthen his technical skills. 'The course provided me with a broad understanding of key cybersecurity domains, including access management, encryption, network design and threat modelling,' said Mr Loh, who also holds a master's degree in management. 'It boosted my confidence to participate in technical discussions and gave me a clearer idea of where I want to deepen my expertise.' Whether building specialised expertise or pivoting into a new field, NP ICT's part-time programmes offer a practical way to gain future-ready skills without putting your career on hold.

UN Rapporteur: 'Israel' is committing one of cruelest acts of genocide in modern history

Geneva – SABA: UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, affirmed on Thursday that 'Israel is responsible for one of the cruelest acts of genocide in modern history.' This came in her report titled 'From Occupation Economy to Genocidal Economy,' which she presented at the UN Human Rights Council session in Geneva. The report explores the economic dimensions of the genocide perpetrated by the Israeli regime against the Palestinian people over the past 22 months. According to the Palestinian Safa News Agency, Albanese said that the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories resembles 'Doomsday.' She explained that the report outlines the economic mechanisms that enable the Israeli entity to displace Palestinians through destruction, isolation, and surveillance. Albanese described the so-called 'Gaza Humanitarian Zone' as nothing more than a 'death trap' designed either to kill or force starving residents to flee. She emphasized that Gaza's residents continue to endure indescribable suffering, with over 200,000 Palestinians killed or injured, according to official figures. She also noted that Palestinians in the occupied West Bank are undergoing 'the largest forced displacement' since 1967, amid violence by armed settlers, and the daily suffocation of life by over 900 checkpoints and barriers. She reported that nearly 1,000 people have been killed, 10,000 injured, another 10,000 detained, and many tortured. Meanwhile, during the same period, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange surged by 213% in dollar terms since October 2023, with a total increase of $125.7 billion. Albanese stressed that Israel has exploited the genocide as an 'opportunity' to test new weapons, surveillance tools, and war technologies such as drones. She highlighted that the company Elbit Systems received an Innovation Award from Israel's Ministry of Defense, while Lockheed Martin and a global network of 1,650 companies benefited from Israel's use of F-35 fighter jets in 'Beast Mode'—carrying up to 22,000 kilograms of munitions, four times the payload of their stealth configuration. She asserted that many weapons manufacturers have posted record profits through arming the Israeli entity, stressing that every country bears a responsibility to disengage entirely from this 'genocidal economy' and cut ties with it. Backed by U.S. and European support, the Israeli military has continued committing acts of genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 57,130 Palestinian civilians—mostly children and women—and the injury of 135,173 others, as of Thursday. These numbers are not final, as thousands remain trapped under rubble or on roadsides inaccessible to ambulance and rescue teams. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)

Kia CEO awarded with Autocar's most prestigious honour

The Innovation Award went to British firm Protean Electric, for its pioneering work in the field of in-wheel motors. The McLaren Artura has come of age after some well-placed improvements, and proved its worth with a convincing victory in our contest to crown Britain's Best Driver's Car. The Artura shone because it was a true mid-engined supercar that offered incredible versatility, making for a machine that would be as comfortable on a commute to the office as blasting round a test track. The Alpine A290 is our Best Fun EV for showcasing that an electric car can offer fun, involved hot hatch handling at a reasonable cost, and without merely relying on ridiculous amounts of power and torque. Three cars secured trophies for achieving an ultra-rate five-star verdict in the Autocar Road Test, which remains the most comprehensive and in-depth assessment in the industry. The Porsche 911 S/T, Skoda Superb Estate and Hyundai Ioniq 5 N were all celebrated for hitting the rarified air of 'exceptional, unsurpassed, all but flawless'. MG was named Best Manufacturer for its remarkable sales growth in recent years, and an ability to mix competitively priced mainstream models with ambitious statements of intent such as the new Cyberster. Other cars recognised at the awards include the Dacia Duster (Best Value Car), Lamborghini Revuelto (Best Dream Car), Volkswagen Golf e-Hybrid (Best Hybrid), Fiat Grande Panda (Best Small Car), Kia EV3 (Best Electric Car) and the Land Rover Defender Octa (Best 4x4).
