Four Minnesota food trucks are having a smashburger showdown

Four Minnesota smashburgers are having an old west-style showdown. Ok, there's no duel at high noon on a dusty street. But there will be four burger-slinging trucks (technically, three trucks and a tent) facing off to win bragging rights on April 26 at Insight Brewing's Smash Fest. Angry Line Cook, Burger Daddies, Private Sector Provisions, and Garillers will get together at Insight in Northeast Minneapolis for "a friendly smashburger competition." The event takes place from 1–10 p.m., and anyone is welcome to order burgers from the food trucks to form their own opinion. However, a panel of judges will convene at 4:30 p.m. for a blind taste test that will crown a champion. Separately, there will be a "people's choice" award for anyone who wants to put on their judges robes. The party will include a pair of "SMaSH" beers (single malt and single hop), a Super Smash Bros. tournament (sensing a theme?), merch, a themed market, and bonfires (because it's spring in Minnesota). There will also be live music throughout the day from Triple Fiddle, The Foxgloves, and Roe Family Singers.
