Police hunt driver in Jalan Tuaran hit-and-run accident
Tuaran police chief Noraidin Ag Maidin said the case is being investigated for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
PETALING JAYA : Police are hunting for the man responsible for a hit-and-run incident on Jalan Tuaran-Kota Kinabalu in Sabah that killed a pedestrian on Saturday.
According to Buletin TV3, a 39-year-old man was pronounced dead while undergoing treatment for injuries to his head and body at the Tuaran Hospital.
Tuaran police chief Noraidin Ag Maidin said police are conducting an investigation to track down the driver who fled the scene.
He said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
Noraidin said several individuals have had their statements recorded to assist in the investigation.
