Qadri's father, Saadaq Khan, claimed that there was a "witch hunt" for his arrest ever since the Instagrammer's arrest and denied that he hated any religion, suggesting that Qadri's accounts were probably "hacked". by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Is your accounts payable process optimized? expertinspector Undo "My son is innocent and secular. He cannot insult Hinduism. We have been receiving threats since Sharmistha's arrest," he said. "It has come to light that Khan started deleting several of his controversial social media posts as the student's arrest led to increased scrutiny on his accounts," said a police source. The student was arrested late on May 30 in Gurugram by KP and placed in 14-day judicial custody over a controversial video in which she criticised Muslim Bollywood celebrities for staying silent on 'Operation Sindoor'. According to her lawyer Md Samimuddin, his client is suffering from kidney stones and lacks access to basic amenities, including reading materials and proper hygiene facilities. A petition has been filed seeking to secure her fundamental rights while in custody.

Insta row: Man who filed plaint faces cases for hurting religious sentiments

Kolkata: Wazahat Khan Qadri, whose FIR led to the arrest of an influencer and Symbiosis law student for allegedly hurting religious sentiments in an Instagram video, now faces seven complaints against him for hurting religious sentiments with his social media posts. "We have received multiple complaints against Qadri at the cyber cells, the Lalbazar cyber cell, and police stations, with excerpts of his social media posts. We are verifying them, and legal action will follow," an officer said. One of these complaints was made by Prasun Maitra, president of Atmadeep, an NGO, and a resident of North 24 Parganas, accusing Khan of repeatedly posting derogatory religious remarks on X. Khan's X account is currently locked. Maitra has demanded immediate police action, asserting that Khan is a "habitual offender" and urging authorities to respond with the same urgency as they did in the case of the woman. Meanwhile, the law student arrested for allegedly posting inflammatory communal content about Operation Sindoor is suffering deteriorating health and inadequate living conditions at Alipore women's correctional facility, her lawyer Md Samimuddin reported on Monday. He told reporters that his client is suffering from kidney stones and lacks access to basic amenities, including proper hygiene facilities and reading materials. A petition has been filed seeking to secure her fundamental rights while in custody. "At Alipore women's correctional home, proper hygiene is not being maintained around her. She has kidney stones. She is not being given access to newspapers. On Monday, we filed a petition in court so she gets access to her basic rights... She is innocent," he said. Sources said three more FIRs have been registered against her. "We plan to move court to seek permission to use the forensic findings of the Instagrammer's electronic devices in these cases too," said an officer.

‘Shraddha ka top chura liya': Tiger Shroff's sparkly award show look sparks meme fest

The Zee Cine Awards 2025 lit up Mumbai last Saturday with glitz, glamour, and a whole lot of shimmying. With stars like Tamannaah Bhatia, Rashmika Mandanna, Kriti Sanon, Rasha Thadani, Jacqueline Fernandez and Kartik Aaryan painting the red carpet gold, it was already a star-studded affair. But if there's one performance that had both the crowd on their feet and the internet in splits, it was Tiger Shroff's. A post shared by Tiger Shroff (@tigerjackieshroff) Now, we all know Tiger can dance like nobody's business. Flip, kick, moonwalk — he's basically a one-man flash mob. So when he hit the stage to the high-energy beats of some of his classics, expectations were sky-high. But this time, the buzz wasn't just about his dance moves. Nope. Tiger brought the roar, but it was his wardrobe that brought the uproar. Let's paint a picture: there's Tiger, grooving in perfect sync with his backup dancers, spinning and sliding across the stage. And then your eyes land on… the outfit. Metallic. Shiny. Fitted in places where no fabric has dared cling before. A kind of corset-meets-crop-top creation that could best be described as 'designer confusion meets disco fever'. Paired with slick black leather pants and a matching belt that looked suspiciously coordinated, the whole ensemble was giving… something. A post shared by Tiger Shroff (@tigerjackieshroff) 'Is this a blouse or a top?' asked one curious Instagrammer. Another wondered aloud, 'Why are you wearing Ananya's blouse?' The theories were wild and wonderful: 'Shraddha ka top chura liya,' someone said. 'Exchanged wardrobe with Disha lol,' offered another. And one particularly relatable user said, 'Not me twinning with Tiger… I have the same top.' Other comments ranged from, 'Yeh to meri frnd ka tanktop hai,' to 'Blouse is looking cool 😎😁'. But hey — credit where it's due. Tiger rocked the look like only he can. Whether you thought it was bold, bizarre, or blinding, the man wore it with swagger, did five backflips, and still didn't miss a beat. Whether you came for the dance or stayed for the sartorial suspense, one thing's for sure: he gave us a night to remember. And honestly? We're already excited for what he'll wear next year.

Female plane passenger wouldn't let her husband sit next to me — I was totally humiliated by her judgment

She believes she committed the crime of flying while hot. An influencer says she felt 'judged' after a female passenger asked that her husband be moved because the content creator's outfit was 'too revealing.' 'I was harassed in first class for being too attractive,' Katie Flowers told Jam Press of the violating incident, which allegedly occurred aboard a flight from Las Vegas to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Advertisement The 'sex guru and relationship coach' frequently shares scintillating body shots for her 313,000 followers on Instagram, but didn't think her appearance would cause such a stir offline. 5 'It felt like my body was offensive just for existing,' said Flowers (pictured here in her airplane attire). Jam Press/CO Press Office Advertisement Flowers, who was flying in first class, had reportedly been sporting a white playsuit with a plunging neckline and knee-high boots — an outfit she deemed 'normal' for an overnight flight. Unfortunately, her choice of airplane attire quickly landed her in the crosshairs of a fellow flyer, who was worried her hubby would be distracted by the Instagrammer's 'hot' couture. 'Another passenger's wife requested a seat change for her husband, because she felt my outfit was 'too revealing' and drew unwanted attention,' recalled Flowers. While the passenger didn't call her out directly, the bombshell claimed a flight attendant alerted her of the complaint, making it clear that the flyer was disturbed by the influencer's appearance. Advertisement Being singled out didn't sit well with Flowers, who felt the issue wasn't 'wasn't the clothes' but 'the body inside them.' 5 Flowers said she was discriminated against for her voluptuous appearance. Jam Press/CO Press Office 5 Flowers has appeared in magazines such as Playboy and Glamor. Jam Press/CO Press Office 5 'I did nothing but board the plane and sit down,' rued Flowers. Jam Press/CO Press Office Advertisement 'I was judged for simply existing with curves,' lamented the content creator, who has appeared in Playboy and Glamour magazine. She found the incident doubly uncomfortable as other passengers reportedly whispered and stared after she was approached by the crew member. 'I did nothing but board the plane and sit down,' rued Flowers on allegedly getting accused of the crime of being curvaceous in public. 'It's a form of control disguised as decency,' Flowers declared. 'Women are expected to be beautiful – but not too much. To be polished but never too confident.' The outraged gal added, 'If you have curves, if you stand out, and if you're not accompanied by a man, you become a target.' Worst of all, this inflight fashion policing mainly comes from other women, per Flowers, who said that the phenomenon's about 'insecurity' rather than 'modesty.' Advertisement 'First class protects me from physical discomfort,' she concluded. 'But it doesn't shield me from social hostility. And that says a lot about the world we live in.'
