As part of this initiative, Samalpatti Railway Station in the Salem Division has been upgraded with modern amenities, including improved waiting areas, advanced ticketing systems, enhanced accessibility for differently-abled individuals, and eco-friendly infrastructure.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 103 redeveloped railway stations under the scheme, along with other projects, via video conferencing on May 22.

Passengers will be able to obtain both reserved and unreserved tickets from this counter. Reserved tickets will be issued from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., while unreserved tickets will be available around the clock, the release added.
