Naturopathy highlights need for natural balance: Meghwal

Mangaluru: Whatever is present in the universe exists within us as well, and the proportion of these elements in our bodies should reflect their natural balance , said minister of law and justice Arjun Ram Meghwal. He spoke at the valedictory programme of the third International Conference on Yoga and Naturopathy organised by SDM College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Ujire, on Friday. He added that naturopathy is already a part of our daily lives, although many people remain unaware of its presence and benefits. He emphasised that while the physical body depends on food and material needs, the mind requires affection. He stressed the need for digital detox in the current era, as the excessive use of electronic devices is having a significant impact on both physical and mental health. He highlighted that the five fundamental elements of nature—earth, water, fire, air, and space—are also present within the human body. He urged the youth to stay away from addictions and lead healthier, more mindful lives. "You are the torchbearers of leading India into a healthier future," he told the young participants. D Veerendra Heggade, president of SDM Educational Society, expressed his appreciation for the conference, stating that participants were highly enthusiastic and benefited from several insightful sessions. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like They Lost Their Money - Learn From Their Lesson Expertinspector Click Here Undo He noted that the theme of the conference was particularly compelling, emphasising the body's natural ability to heal itself. "For example, even animals instinctively turn to nature to heal themselves, but humans have lost that connection," he said. "Many health problems arise due to our growing distance from nature. Nearly 90% of diseases can be treated through naturopathy and being with nature," said UT Khader, speaker of assembly . He further stated that naturopathy is a valuable gift from ancient Indian traditions to the world, and the biggest challenge today is society's increasing disconnection from nature. He also highlighted the importance of yoga in daily life, stating that it should be an integral part of one's routine for holistic well-being . Conferences like these play a vital role in spreading awareness and exchanging knowledge.
