Mahir Haneef TDT| Manama Bahrain's investment in the next generation took centre stage on Tuesday as His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the 34th graduation ceremony of Ibn Khuldoon National School, held at Exhibition World Bahrain. Representing the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Tamkeen in his dual leadership roles, HH Shaikh Isa hailed the event as a reflection of the Kingdom's national vision to empower youth as drivers of Bahrain's future. Future builders HH Shaikh Isa underscored that the strength of Bahrain's education sector stems from the ongoing support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the strategic leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. HH pointed to the alignment of education policy with national workforce development, noting the role of both public and private institutions in equipping students with the skills needed to lead Bahrain into a new era of regional and global competitiveness. Global dreams Two students were honoured during the ceremony for being selected to the Crown Prince's International Scholarship Program (CPISP) for 2025. Noor Khalifa Al Khalifa has been accepted to Princeton University, while Anas Iyad Rafii will attend Purdue University. Both expressed their gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for championing educational opportunities that empower young Bahrainis to realise their ambitions on the global stage. HH Shaikh Isa extended his congratulations to all graduates and praised the administration, faculty, and staff of Ibn Khuldoon National School for their commitment to academic excellence. New honours launched The event also marked the launch of two new awards: the Farooq Almoayyed Leadership Award, presented by the Almoayyed family, and the Aisha Excellence Award, established by the family of the late Shaikha Aisha bint Abdullah Al Khalifa. A new scholarship from the University of Strathclyde Bahrain was also announced, expanding the ecosystem of academic recognition. HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, members of the royal family, senior officials, and families of the graduates were also present at the ceremony.

Bahrain's Leadership Engages in Diplomatic and Strategic Initiatives

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on events that happened over the past 24 hours. According to Bahrain News Agency, HM King received HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as the Saudi Minister of Education, highlighting ongoing diplomatic engagements. In legislative developments, HM King ratified and issued Law (22) of 2025 and Law (23) of 2025. These new laws indicate the country's commitment to updating its legal framework in alignment with its strategic objectives. In terms of international cooperation, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister met with the Minister of Education of Saudi Arabia, as well as the 26th intake of the Crown Prince's International Scholarship Program (CPISP). These meetings underscore Bahrain's focus on educational partnerships and talent development. Sports and cultural diplomacy were also on the agenda, with HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad leading the Bahrain delegation to the 37th GCC Olympic meeting. He also met with the President of the International Olymp ic Committee to discuss future cooperation and attended the Arab Handball Cup final. On the ministerial front, the Royal Court Minister issued Decision (1) of 2025, while the Foreign Minister received the EU Ambassador to Bahrain, reinforcing Bahrain's international diplomatic relations. The Information Minister took part in a panel discussion during the 20th edition of the Arab Media Forum, showcasing Bahrain's active role in regional media discourse. Further bilateral discussions were held between the Education Minister and his Saudi counterpart, focusing on educational cooperation. Meanwhile, the Social Development Minister participated in Egypt's 'Takaful and Karama' anniversary event and discussed inclusive employment support with the CEO of Tamkeen. Additionally, the Tourism Minister met with an IMF official, and the Municipalities Minister inspected the Southern Governorate urban development project. The Legal Affairs Minister engaged with the RHF Secretary General, and a Bahrain parliamentary deleg ation visited the Indonesian Parliament. In a move to enhance digital services, the Social Insurance Organization (SIO) and Beyon Connect signed an eKey 2.0 agreement. This development aims to boost Bahrain's digital infrastructure and service delivery.

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met the 26th intake of the Crown Prince's International Scholarship Program (CPISP), along with their parents and members of the CPISP Board of Directors, at Riffa Palace. HRH Prince Salman emphasised the Kingdom's ongoing commitment to empowering its citizens through education, emphasising that investing in academic opportunities is essential to building a prosperous future and achieve the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The students of the CPISP 26th intake expressed their gratitude and appreciation for His Royal Highness' unwavering support in creating quality opportunities for Bahraini citizens, investing in them and continuing to support and enable them to succeed across various endeavours. His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, and a number of senior officials, also attended the meeting.
