Workshop on self-care for academic success, mental health
Varanasi: The well-being services cell of
Banaras Hindu University
organised a workshop on 'Self-Care for Academic Success: Strategies for Nurturing Well-being at University', on International Self-Care Day 2025.
The event aimed to empower students with essential strategies for maintaining their well-being and achieving academic success.
The workshop focused on key objectives, including understanding the importance of self-care in academic success, identifying personal stressors, and developing effective coping mechanisms.
Prof Manushi Srivastava, from the department of community medicine, Institute of Medical Sciences, served as the resource person. She emphasised the critical link between self-care and a healthy academic life. Nityanand Tiwari, student counsellor of the well-being services cell, explained the aspects of self-care, including self-care actions and interventions. Over 150 students participated in the workshop from various faculties.
