Purple Kiss to host final concert in Japan

Girl group Purple Kiss announced Thursday that it will have a live show in Kawasaki of the Greater Tokyo area on Sept. 13. Billed as 'A Violet to Remember,' the concert nods at the band's debut album 'Into Violet' as well as its recently announced decision to bid farewell and disband. Agency RBW Entertainment announced Monday that after four years together, the six members will go their separate ways in November. Purple Kiss debuted in 2021 as a group of seven, but Park Jieun left in 2022. Its latest effort is the second single 'I Miss My …' dropped last month. As per the agency's statement, the group of six will release an English-language album later this month and will tour the US before also holding a concert in Korea.

PURPLE KISS Members Pen Letters For Fans After Disbandment Announcement

The life of a K-pop idol can be unpredictable, and many groups have sadly disbanded, bidding goodbye to years of music and memories. Recently, girl group PURPLE KISS (퍼플키스) announced that they will disband in November after four years together. On 4th August 2025 (Monday), RBW announced that PURPLE KISS will be disbanding in November 2025. The group made their debut in March 2021 with their EP, 'Into Violet', and recently made their comeback in July 2025. In an official statement, RBW said the group and the company made the decision to conclude the group's activities based on respect and support for each member's individual goals and plans. However, the group will release new music before their disbandment and proceed with planned activities. According to RBW, PURPLE KISS will release an English album at the end of August and will hold promotional activities in Japan. The girl group will also go on a domestic tour across the United States and perform a solo concert in Korea. The agency also thanked PLORYs (PURPLE KISS fans) for their continued support for the group. Following the disbandment announcement, all six members of PURPLE KISS – Go-Eun (고은), Dosie (도시), Ireh (이레), Yuki (유키), Chaein (채인) and Swan (수안) – share handwritten letters for their fans. In their letters, the idols expressed gratitude towards PLORYs for their love and support throughout the years. They also asked fans to continue supporting them in the coming days as they prepare to conclude their group activities. Fans and netizens have reacted to the news, mostly expressing regret over the disbandment. Some also criticised RBW for not promoting the group better, noting that the agency wasted valuable talent. Some fans are urging the members to debut as a new group under a new management. Meanwhile, PLORYs all over the world have started extending love to the members, saying they'll continue to support them after they disband. While the news may be sudden, it's commendable that PURPLE KISS announced their disbandment in advance, as it allows fans to enjoy their remaining time with the group to the fullest. We wish the members the best for the future. In the meantime, check out their recent comeback below: Sources: Soompi, Twitter (1)(2)
