Invest UP entrepreneurs to get priority in IT City land sanction
Lucknow: The
(LDA) has begun
for its much-anticipated 1,696-acre IT City project, to be developed along Sultanpur Road, under which land will also be allotted to entrepreneurs, who come through Invest UP initiative, on priority basis.

The move is part of efforts to establish an IT hub in the state capital and will facilitate land allocation for companies in the IT, artificial intelligence (AI) and software project will include 4,000 residential plots, 350 acres for the IT industry, 60 acres for commercial use, a golf city in the green belt, and a 15-acre water body for environmental sustainability. On Saturday, a joint team from LDA's acquisition and engineering departments took possession of about 46 bighas of land in Mohari Khurd between Sultanpur National Highway and Kisan Path and initiated the construction of the site office. The work began with the installation of a project part of the initial phase, 23 landowners from four villages have offered around 165 acres of land free of cost under the land pooling model. LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar said: "The IT City will be developed between Sultanpur National Highway and Kisan Path, covering villages like Bakkas, Sonai Kanjehra, Sikandarpur Amoliya, Siddhpura, Parehta, Pahadnagar Tikriya, Raqeebabad, Mohari Khurd, Khujouli and Bhatwara. With superior road connectivity, this project will be extremely beneficial to residents and investors alike."He added that "Large plots have been planned for
, a global business park, science and engineering equipment sectors and a super-specialty medical zone. The arrival of such industries will create significant job opportunities. Land will be allotted to investors submitting proposals under Invest UP."Joint secretary Sushil Pratap Singh said more agreement deeds would be signed in the coming days to expedite acquisition. Meanwhile, the LDA launched a demolition drive on illegal plotting across the 11 villages covered under the IT City scheme.
Over the past four months, the authority has cleared 29 unauthorized land plots as part of its enforcement drive.
