Meghan Markle, Prince Harry sign new Netflix deal after repeated flops
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry aren't going anywhere. The deal is looser than before and gives the streamer first-dibs to say yes or no to projects, but is also worth far less for the royals than their previous $100 million agreement, sources told The Times. 'We're proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand,' Markle, 44, said in a statement obtained by The Post. Bela Bajaria, Netflix's Chief Content Officer, added that the streaming giant was 'excited' to continue its partnership with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and 'entertain our members together.' 'Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere,' she began. 'The response to their work speaks for itself — 'Harry & Meghan' gave viewers an intimate look into their lives and quickly became one of our most-watched documentary series.' 10 Meghan Markle's 'With Love, Meghan' Netflix series premiered on Jan. 15, 2025. Although 'Harry & Meghan' remains Netflix's most-watched documentary debut to date with 23.4 million views, their following projects, including 'Live to Lead' (2022) and 'Heart of Invictus' (2023), failed to garner anywhere near the same viewership numbers. 10 Meghan Markle in a still from the second episode of 'With Love, Meghan.' Earlier this year, Markle hosted and executive-produced the first season of her 'With Love, Meghan' lifestyle show. The series, which was filmed in Montecito, California, and featured several celebrity guests like Mindy Kaling, also flopped. 10 The Duchess of Sussex during an episode of her 'With Love, Meghan' lifestyle show on Netflix. Markle and Prince Harry's newly extended partnership with Netflix is reportedly worth significantly less than their original $100 million deal with the streamer following their last few projects' disappointing numbers. Advertisement 'They have shot the golden goose of 2020 – more of a 'we'll call you' than 'here's the chequebook,'' an insider familiar with the new deal told Daily Mail. 'It's a first-look deal, which means Netflix gets first dibs but no obligation to bankroll every semi-royal whim.' 'I reckon Netflix is trimming fat industry-wide, so this is less carte blanche, more curated cameo,' the source added.

Meghan Markle Shares Rare Photo on Instagram and We're Getting Serious Rom Com Vibes
Meghan Markle has a lot of exciting new projects lined up for 2025—new Instagram accounts (@meghan and @asever), a new Netflix show and a new podcast, to name a few. But amid all the newness, she took a moment to share a rare throwback with her followers. On Instagram, the With Love, Meghan star, 43, posted a throwback photo sent to her by a friend. In the picture, a young grade-school aged Meghan is smiling beside a photo of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Meghan captioned the snapshot, 'When your dear friend from middle school/high school sends you something from your alma mater and it brings the biggest smile to your face. Go Pandas,' adding, 'Thanks Sush xo.' While the post was heartwarming and personal, what really stood out to me (and probably many other '90s kids) was just how rom-com the whole vibe was. I'm talking major '90s rom-com energy—think Clueless or Never Been Kissed. It makes perfect sense, considering Meghan graduated in 1999, but that photo definitely screams nostalgia, especially for millennials. From the halo headband to the cardigan over the extra-long shirt (no crop tops in sight), it's clear that even back then, Meghan had that signature it factor. And it seems like the internet agrees. 'Meghan has always been That Girl,' one commenter wrote. Another added, 'Always been a great role model,' while a third chimed in with, 'She is THE MOMENT.'for Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023 Before Meghan made the post on her feed, the photo had been shared earlier by her alma mater, Immaculate Heart College Preparatory School in Los Angeles. The school congratulated her on the renewal of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, and her new podcast launch. 'We're delighted to share a special throwback photo from her time at Immaculate Heart, honoring our cherished tradition of Mary's Day, a reflection of our legacy of sisterhood, support, and Panda spirit,' the wrote. Meghan's throwback not only gave fans a glimpse into her past, but it also brought back all the '90s feels, reminding that even before she became a global icon, she was already making her mark.
