Serie A side Fiorentina were the first club to follow up their interest with a concrete bid for the 25-year-old of £17 million. But reports in Greece have indicated Panathinaikos have informed the Italians they no intention of selling anyone until they play their Champions League ties with Rangers. They have already snapped up three players for the new campaign - ex-Liverpool midfielder Pedro Chirivella, Greek international defender Georgios Kyriakopoulos from Monza and fellow stopper Ahmed Touba, with the Algerian international arriving from Turkish side Basaksehir. And they have made it clear they want their star striker Ioannidis available for the games against Russell Martin's new charges. He's been capped 17 times for his country at full senior level, scoring six goals for them. He's already netted many times in European competition against the likes of Marseille, Fiorentina, RC Lens, Stade Rennes, and Villareal. Ioannidis has also donned the captain's armband for his club regularly in the past season. He featured for most of Greece's 1-0 loss against Scotland in the Nations League play-off, but only made a short cameo in the victorious second leg. Meanwhile, their opponents Rangers are chasing the signature of a 24-year-old from the Italian Serie A. Meanwhile, FC Twente star man Michel Vlap has become the third influential figure at the club to beg their former captain Robin Propper to leave Rangers and return to them. ‌ The Light Blues defender has been offered a three-year deal to make the return to the Eredivisie outfit - just 12 months after his move to Ibrox. They are pulling out all the stops to tempt him to return to his old stomping ground after a disappointing first season in Glasgow. Propper has reportedly put the move on hold until he discovers whether new boss Martin sees him as part of his plans at his new-look Rangers. ‌ A new regime is underway at Ibrox with the players back on the grass at the Rangers Training Centre while the 49ers Enterprises have also completed their takeover with Max Aarons the first official arrival after Lyall Cameron had already penned a pre-contract. Within the last week, Twente sports director Jan Streuer revealed Propper would be very welcome to return amid reports they had already agreed a £1.5 million fee with Rangers. ‌ And the club's manager Joseph Oosting then added that he had spoken with the stopper in a bid to persuade him to re-sign for his former employers. Now midfielder Vlap has added his voice to the campaign to sign Propper. He said: "Robin is a top player and personality, everyone would be happy if he were to come here again," But Streuer admitted they are still waiting for an answer. He said: "We have to wait and see whether Robin wants to go himself. He wanted to go abroad and has only been there for a year. "If he sees a chance to stay, it could also be that his preference lies there. We don't know yet."

Latest Saints transfer rumours: Spors looking to find value in minor leagues?

Saints technical director Johannes Spors, pictured with Will Still, is leading the club's transfers hunt (Image: Stuart Martin) THE summer transfer window is currently closed until Monday, June 16, due to FIFA rules about how long it can be consecutively open for. As a result, nothing is imminent for Saints by way of new arrivals, but the Championship club continue to be linked with interest in players. Advertisement No rumours have been verified by sources yet, and should be taken with a pinch of salt, but could give an indication of the club's targets. Here are all of the latest Saints transfer rumours in one place... Greek international striker linked again Saints have been named as one of three English clubs who have reportedly made an approach to sign Greek international Fotis Ioannidis. Ioannidis is said to be of interest to Saints, Crystal Palace and Leicester City, and could be available for transfer this summer for around £17million. Ioannidis, 25, has been linked with Saints previously, and the Panathinaikos captain netted 11 goals in 42 appearances for the Greek side last season. Advertisement The six-foot one-inch forward featured as a substitute against England in Athens in November, and scored against Bulgaria this week. Rumours persist surrounding Chilean winger Reports in Chile have claimed Saints have made an offer for Colo Colo attacker Lucas Cepeda, who could be loaned out from St Mary's. River Plate are reportedly also interested in the 22 year old, who has won five caps for Chile and is said to be valued at around £3.7million. Left-footer Cepeda already boasts three goals for his country, and has helped his club side to win the Chilean Championship and Super Cup. Several news publications in South America have linked Saints with Cepeda this week, although Saints sources were unable to verify the claims. Advertisement Saints among sides interested in Swiss league striker Lyon and Monaco academy graduate Willem Geubbels is a 23 year old French striker currently plying his trade at St Gallen, in Switzerland's top tier. Geubbels still has two years on his contract and scored 14 goals in 31 league matches last season, taking his St Gallen total to 27 in 92. French media have claimed that Saints are among the sides interested in the forward, who is said to be valued at £8.5million by his current side. Saints could be in the market for a striker this summer if Paul Onuachu departs, although they have Ross Stewart and Cameron Archer. Advertisement Aston Villa defender linked again amid expected move A link has remerged to Aston Villa right back Kaine Kesler-Hayden, who spent last season on loan at second tier Preston, registering 44 appearances. The Villa youngster is a former England youth international and has played 134 senior games by the age of 22, including three in the Premier League. Birmingham-born Kesler-Hayden has impressed in loan spells at Swindon Town, MK Dons, Huddersfield Town and Plymouth Argyle prior to Preston. Saints will look to sign a right-back amid the impending departure of Kyle Walker-Peters, with Kesler-Hayden expected to depart Villa Park.
