UN Mission in Libya: The Iraqi experience is a model that can be used to support political stability

The UN Secretary-General's envoy to Libya, Hanna Tetteh, confirmed today, Sunday, that the Iraqi experience represents a model that can be used to support political stability in Libya.
The Iraqi embassy in Libya said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "The Chargé d'Affairs of the Iraqi Embassy, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, discussed with the UN Secretary-General's envoy to Libya, Hanna Tetteh, the Iraqi-Libyan relations, and mechanisms to support the efforts of political dialogue in Libya, which the mission is undertaking."
"Al-Sahhaf expressed during the meeting Iraq's support for the unity and stability of Libya," noting "the importance of exchanging experiences in the field of national reconciliation and political dialogue."
"Al-Sahhaf reviewed the Iraqi experience in managing political dialogues and strengthening national consensus," stressing "Iraq's readiness to provide advice and support in this field."
For her part, the UN Secretary-General's envoy to Libya praised according to the statement the Iraqi role in strengthening dialogue paths, considering that "the Iraqi experience represents a model that can be used to support political stability in Libya."
She also stressed the importance of exchanging expertise between the two countries in the areas of reconstruction, establishing the foundations of peace and promoting national reconciliation.
The statement concluded that "the two sides stressed the need to continue joint coordination and intensify diplomatic efforts to support political dialogue paths, which contributes to achieving security and stability in Libya and the region."
