Boxers face off at Irish League clash ahead of bout on Crocker v Donovan card
Ruadhan Farrell and Matty Boreland faced off in the middle of a football match ahead of their Irish title fight next month.
The super bantamweight pair are set to clash at Windsor Park on 13 September on the undercard of the rematch between Lewis Crocker and Paddy Donovan.
But they took the opportunity to square off the centre circle before Cliftonville and Coleraine's Irish League Game at Solitude on Saturday.
Farrell wore his Cliftonville jersey and his Irish title belt, while Boreland wore his Coleraine jersey as the two got in each other's faces ahead of next month's fight.
Farrell, 25, has a professional record of seven victories, one draw and one defeat.
The Belfast man last fought in March when beating Gerard Hughes on points on the undercard of Crocker and Donovan's first fight.
Boreland takes on an unbeaten professional record into the fight. The 26-year-old has won all five of his pro fights, with one coming inside the distance.
'Bam Bam' last fought in April when beating Fernando Joaquin Valdez on points.
If Saturday's Irish League match is any indication, the fight will be a tight encounter, with Cliftonville and Coleraine playing out a 0-0 draw at Solitude in Belfast.
