Tesla has expanded its presence in India with the launch of its first Experience Centre in New Delhi's Aerocity, along with the city's first V4 Supercharging facility. The move comes ahead of planned deliveries in September 2025 and follows the opening of its first Indian showroom in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex last month. New facility in Aerocity Located at Worldmark 3, Aerocity, the 8,200 sq ft showroom is positioned close to Indira Gandhi International Airport and diplomatic areas. The centre offers test drives, in-depth product demonstrations, and the opportunity to explore Tesla's features first-hand. Four on-site V4 Superchargers will provide ultra-fast charging for Tesla owners, aimed at reducing charging times for long-distance travel. Expansion of charging infrastructure Tesla Regional Director for South East Asia, Isabel Fan, said Delhi and Mumbai are priority markets. In the Delhi-NCR region, supercharging stations are planned for Gurugram, Saket, and Noida. In Mumbai, the company will add facilities in Lower Parel, Navi Mumbai, and Thane, in addition to the existing one at Bandra Kurla Complex. Bengaluru is also on the company's immediate roadmap. Tesla Experience Centre, Aerocity in Delhi - Now Open Service and support plans Alongside the physical network, Tesla will introduce a mobile service programme for on-site repairs, remote diagnostics for software issues, official service centres, and Tesla Approved Collision Centres in India. Ms. Fan noted that the company's announcements are commitments for the near term rather than long-term projections. Model Y in India The Tesla Model Y is currently the sole model on sale in India. Priced at ₹59.89 lakh for the rear-wheel drive variant and ₹67.89 lakh for the long-range RWD (both ex-showroom), it comes in Stealth Grey with black interiors as standard. Optional exterior colours are priced between ₹95,000 and ₹1.85 lakh, and white interiors are available for ₹95,000. The company, which opened its second experience centre in India at Aerocity here in the national capital, plans to have supercharging stations in Gurugram and Noida, besides one more in Saket, Tesla Regional Director South East Asia Isabel Fan said here at the opening event. The company had opened its first experience centre in Mumbai last month, along with the launch of its Model Y with a price starting at Rs 59.89 lakh. Delhi and Mumbai are priorities for the company, she said, adding, in the next few weeks, the company will open its supercharging station in Gurugram to be followed by others in Saket (South Delhi) and Noida. In the Mumbai area, Tesla is planning to set up supercharging stations at Lower Parel, Navi Mumbai and Thane to add to the existing one at Bandra Kurla Complex, Fan added. "The other new market, new states... We cannot miss Bangalore very soon," she said, adding, "we don't commit five-year plan that we cannot deliver. So whatever we share is a commitment in the upcoming (period)." Fan also said the company will soon launch its mobile service, remote diagnostics, service centre and Tesla Approved Collision Centre in India.

Delhi and Mumbai remain top priorities for the EV maker, said Isabel Fan, Regional Director (South East Asia), Tesla. In the coming weeks, the company will roll out supercharging stations in Gurugram, followed by Saket in South Delhi and Noida. In the Mumbai region, Tesla is planning new supercharging points in Lower Parel, Navi Mumbai and Thane, adding to the existing location at Bandra Kurla Complex. US electric vehicle maker Tesla on Monday inaugurated its first showroom in the National Capital Region at Delhi's Aerocity, marking its second retail outlet in India within a month of debuting in Mumbai. Elon Musk's EV venture also announced that it plans to start deliveries by September in India, with plans to expand its supercharging network in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Tesla's Delhi Aerocity showroom According to data from real estate analytics firm CRE Matrix, Tesla India Motor & Energy Pvt Ltd has leased 8,200 sq ft in the Worldmark 3 project at Aerocity from Oak Infrastructure Pvt Ltd on a nine-year term. The lease, registered on July 30, 2025, carries a starting rent of ₹17.22 lakh per month, or ₹210 per sq ft, with a 15 per cent escalation every 36 months. Tesla launches Model Y in India The Aerocity store will open at 2 pm today, showcasing the Model Y. The EV comes in two India-specific variants: the Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) with a 60kWh battery and the Long Range RWD with a 75kWh battery. Prices start at ₹59.89 lakh for the RWD and ₹67.89 lakh for the Long Range RWD, ex-showroom. Tesla's Full Self-Driving package is offered at an additional ₹6 lakh. Customers can choose from six colours, with Stealth Grey as standard, and black or white interiors in a five-seat layout with heated rear seats and ventilated front seats. Bookings can be made via Tesla's India website or at its Mumbai, Delhi, and Gurugram showrooms. Deliveries and registrations are initially available in these three cities, with handovers slated to begin in the third quarter of 2025. Tesla Gurugram showroom plans Recently, Elon Musk's EV venture also leased a 33,475 sq ft space in Gurugram 's Orchid Business Park from Garwal Property, with a super-built-up area of 50,914 sq ft. This site is expected to serve as both a service centre and a sales outlet. The Gurugram lease, also for nine years, carries a starting rent of ₹40 lakh per month and includes a 4.75 per cent annual escalation, with a three-year lock-in period. Tesla's Mumbai BKC opening, Supercharger stations The Aerocity showroom follows Tesla's India debut last month in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex, where the company began selling its Model Y. Tesla leased 24,565 sq ft of warehouse space at Lodha Logistics Park in Mumbai's Kurla area for ₹24.38 crore over five years. Last week, Tesla also opened its first Indian Supercharger station in BKC. Today, Tesla added that it plans to set up additional stations at Lower Parel, Navi Mumbai and Thane. Tesla planning Bengaluru entry Tesla is also planning to open a showroom in Bengaluru. "The other new market, new states...
