Actor Anupam Bhattacharya's show Ishaani has now shifted to a prime-time slot, and while this move brings excitement, it also means added pressure for the cast and crew. Anupam, who plays the pivotal role of Shashwat in the show, says the shift is sure to give them more audience, and higher ratings. 'The show has moved to a prime time slot and yes, it does add to the pressure as the audience base also grows much wider with new time slots, and hence the pressure for the show to maintain TRP becomes imminent. Even though it should not affect the actors, we cannot escape its impact on the show,' he says. Anupamaa: Ishaani traps into a drug scandal; Anu learns about her controversial video
Anupamaa 's drama quotient has been increasing with every episode, the recent track deals with two major topics, Ishaani is trapped in a drug scandal and the Kotharis' past is at stake with Raghav's return. It is going to be interesting to see how Anu will fight these two battles and save both Ishaani and Raahi. In recent episodes of Anupamaa, fans saw Anu (Rupali Ganguly) clash with drug dealers. They had been blackmailing Ishaani, and Anu came to her rescue. She arrested them and saved Ishaani. However, Ishaani is really afraid. She attempts to commit suicide. Pakhi and Anu got into a brawl. She blames Anu for causing havoc and throwing Ishaani into problems by putting the drug traffickers in jail. Now, Ishaani is terrified because she believes the goons will find her. In the meantime, Ishaani locks herself in a room. She attempts to take medications and terminate her life. However, just in time, Anu and others push open the door and save her. Ishaani then makes a startling discovery. She claims that the goons have her videos and would make them viral. She adds that she will be unable to face the world after the tape surfaces, which is why she wishes to terminate her life. Anu and Raahi eventually manage to calm her down. In a parallel story, Anupamaa is surprised to learn Raghav's reality. He revealed to her that his wife, Pankhuri, is Parag Kothari's sister. The Kotharis conspired against him and imprisoned him on false charges. Now, Anu will battle for justice. Pankhuri is alive, and Anu will find her.
