Princess Anne 's granddaughter Isla Phillips has been compared to a late Prince in comparison snaps dating back to the 1930s.
Isla, who is the daughter of Princess Anne's son Peter Phillips and his ex-partner Autumn Kelly, has recently garnered attention for her striking resemblance to her late great-grandfather, Prince Philip.
A side-by-side analysis of the images of the two royals was shared on the Instagram page @ l earlier today - and the resemblance between Isla and Prince Philip is striking.
The facial similarities emphasised the strong familial connections within the royal lineage.
Many pointed out that their shared features include their fair complexion, blonde hair, strong jawline, and almond-shaped eyes.
Isla, who is the great-granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, is often noted for her resemblance to her great-grandfather - including at King Charles 's coronation concert in 2023.
At the time, one royal observer highlighted the likeness between Isla and her great-grandfather in a post on their Instagram account @philibeth_wales.
The caption read: 'Isla Phillips (Peter Phillips' daughter) and Prince Philip (her great-grandfather). I can definitely see a resemblance.'
Fellow royal fans agreed with the comparison, with one person writing: 'Yes agree, the cheekbones the nose and the mouth.'
'Wow, those genetics from her great-grandfather,' another said.
A third commented: 'She is lovely and Prince Phillip was so handsome!'
However other commenters claimed Isla also shares features with her grandmother, Princess Anne.
'I find her identical to Anne Princess Royal when she was young,' one wrote, while another commented: 'I see Princess Anne.'
Isla is 19th in line to the throne and enjoys all the comforts of being part of the extended royal family without the pressure of a life of duties ahead of her.
She does not have a royal title. Princess Anne turned down the Queen's offer of titles for her children, Peter and Zara. As a result the grandchildren don't have titles, either.
Living on Princess Anne's 700-acre Gatcombe Park Estate, Isla and her older sister Savannah are in close proximity to their Tindall cousins - Mia, Lena and Lucas - and the boisterous posse are regularly seen in the great outdoors.
Although they're growing up out of the spotlight, Isla and her sister Savannah are recognisable from their attendance at royal events such as the Queen's Platinum Jubilee - and they're known for adding a touch of mischief to these formal occasions.
At Princess Eugenie's wedding in October 2018, for instance, Savannah, now 14, entertained Prince George by imitating the trumpet fanfare to announce the arrival of the Queen, as the then-toddler erupted in fits of giggles.
With only 15 months between Isla and her older sister Savannah, it's no surprise the pair are growing up with a close bond, although the elder girl seems to be the ringleader for most of the light-hearted mischief.
Their parents, Peter and Autumn, announced they were separating in 2020, with the divorce finalised in 2021.
They have been amicably co-parenting, with pictures showing Autumn, her new love Donal Mulryan - an Irish construction company boss - and Savannah and Isla on a Mother's Day outing to the Cirencester horse trials.
Meanwhile, Peter has found happiness with oil heiress girlfriend Lindsay Wallace.
Born at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, weighing 7lbs 4oz during the Queen's milestone Jubilee year, it's no surprise that Isla's second name is Elizabeth in honour of her grandmother.
There was also sadness for Isla and her sister in recent years when they lost their beloved great-grandparents in quick succession.
Isla put on a brave face when she spent her tenth birthday attending a memorial service for Prince Philip in March 2022, held at Westminster Abbey after only 30 people could attend his funeral the previous year due to Covid restrictions.

Isla was also present for the Queen's funeral, where she wore a riding crop and stirrup brooch to her great-grandmother's funeral in a subtle tribute to Her Majesty's love of riding.
While Isla maintains a relatively low public profile compared to some of her cousins, she occasionally makes appearances at family events.
On Sunday, the Princess Royal's grandchildren enjoyed a family day out - as they gathered to show support for Zara Tindall at an equestrian trial.
Isla and her older sister Savannah, 14, took selfies with their cousin Mia Tindall, 11 - who was on hand to cheer on her mother - as they took in the fifth and final day at the MARS Badminton Horse Trials.
Looking sporty and casual, Savannah opted for a slouchy quarter-zip with shorts, and wore her wavy hair down, while her sister Isla was trendy in a Von Dutch cap and grey top.
Elsewhere, little Mia was adorable as ever in a chic white shirt and hat, teamed with a fun patterned skirt.
The kids clearly enjoyed some girl time as they were spotted chatting up a storm in the stands.
Their father Peter, 47, looked after the royal cousins with his girlfriend Harriet Sperling, who looked summary and glam in a white and navy patterned dress.
Meanwhile, Princess Anne's son looked ready for every weather in a pinstripe button-down, gilet and a cap - along with aviator shades.
In one sweet father-daughter bonding moment, Isla could be seen huddling up to her dad for a cuddle.
The family was out to support the King's niece Zara, 43, who looked to be in high spirits as she collected a revered accolade at the event.
