South Lebanon: Israeli Drone Strike Kills Citizen as He was Heading for Fajr Prayer
The Israeli enemy proceeds with its aggression on Lebanon in a new violation of a ceasefire signed in late 2024. Al-Manar correspondent in south Lebanon reported a Lebanese citizen was martyred at dawn on Saturday in an Israeli drone on his vehicle as he was heading for Fajr (dawn) prayer at his town's mosque. The strike was preceded by remarkable flight of Israeli Apache helicopters in the region, our correspondent said, noting that this is the first time -since the end of the recent war – that Israeli helicopters fly over such depth (some 25 kms from the Palestinian border). Mohammad Ali Jammaoul, 33, was martyred as his vehicle was targeted by a missile launched by an Israeli drone on the highway linking between his hometown of Deir Al-Zahrani and Nabatieh, the correspondent said. Jammoul's brother was also martyred during the latest 66-day Israeli war on Lebanon, during heroic clashes with occupation forces in Yohmor Al-Shaqeef. The Israeli enemy has been going ahead with its violations of the ceasefire. On Friday, Al-Manar correspondent reported that the Lebanese Army units found Israeli spy cameras in the outskirts of Blida border town in South Lebanon. Hezbollah has repeatedly called on the Lebanese State to take firm stance on the Israeli continued violations of the ceasefire which took effect on November 27, 2024 following a brutal Israeli war on Lebanon which started earlier in September. In an interview with Al-Manar on Wednesday, Hezbollah MP Hasan Fadlallah said the Lebanese government was not assuming its responsibilities regarding the Israeli withdrawal from the Lebanese territories that are still occupied, halting the Israeli attacks and the reconstruction efforts.

Hezbollah member killed in Israeli strikes on S. Lebanon
Beirut, May 15 (UNI) Israeli drones carried out multiple airstrikes across southern Lebanon on Thursday, killing a Hezbollah member and destroying several prefabricated structures, Lebanese security and official sources said. Lebanon's Ministry of Health said in a statement that an Israeli drone strike targeting a vehicle on the Arnoun-Yohmor road killed one person. A Lebanese security source identified the victim as Mohammad Ali Marouni, a Hezbollah member from the town of Arnoun in the Nabatieh District, deep in southern Lebanon. According to Lebanese official sources, three Hezbollah members have been killed and a fourth wounded in separate Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon over the past 48 hours. In a related incident, Lebanon's state-run National News Agency reported that an Israeli Apache helicopter carried out three consecutive strikes within half an hour on the village of Houla in southeastern Lebanon, targeting a prefabricated structure belonging to the Wataawano Association. The agency added that at dawn, the Israeli army struck another prefabricated building in the village of Adaisseh. Separately, a drone dropped a stun grenade on a house in Kfar Kila, while another drone dropped a similar device over the ruins of al-Dhahira School in the western sector of southern Lebanon. The cross-border strikes come despite a ceasefire agreement reached on Nov. 27, 2024, intended to halt more than a year of hostilities tied to the war in Gaza. The truce, mediated by the United States and France, has largely held, though sporadic flare-ups have continued. Israel has said its strikes are intended to neutralize Hezbollah threats. However, the Lebanese government and several Arab states have accused Israel of repeatedly violating the ceasefire agreement. Despite the truce's provision requiring a full Israeli withdrawal, Israeli forces continue to hold several strategically important positions in southern Lebanon. UNI XINHUA GNK

Israeli enemy army bombards several areas in Lebanon
Beirut - (Saba): Over the past 24 hours, the Israeli enemy army has continued its attacks and violations against Lebanese civilians, their homes, and their property in southern Lebanon, particularly the town of Yater, which has been subjected to intense aerial bombardment. The Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes continued their targeting of the town of Yater over the past hours, launching a number of missiles at homes that had previously received evacuation threats. The Lebanese agency explained that one of the Israeli airstrikes caused a fire in several homes, coinciding with the flight of helicopters and drones over the villages of Yater and Ramia, reaching Aita al-Shaab and Hanin in the Bint Habil district. For his part, the mayor of Yater, Khalil Korani, stated that the enemy forces bombed three homes after threatening them with five missiles, directed by helicopters and drones. In press statements, Korani noted that "fires broke out in these homes, which were completely damaged by the fires. Fire trucks and ambulances were unable to reach them due to the continued hovering of drones and helicopters, which were combing the airspace around the homes." The helicopters launched a warning strike targeting the vicinity of several homes in the town of Yater, after their owners received phone warnings from the occupation forces, who threatened to bomb the homes, forcing the residents to evacuate. The Lebanese news agency noted that an Israeli Apache helicopter launched two strikes on two homes in the town of Yater, at a time when the skies over the border villages and towns in the western sector were witnessing intense flights of enemy warplanes. It also warned that an Israeli drone raided the vicinity of the public school in the town of Ramya. Another drone flew continuously at low altitude over the city of Tyre and its surroundings. This coincided with intense flights by warplanes at low altitudes over the Jezzine area. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)

One killed in Israeli drone strike in Yohmor al-Shaqif
by Naharnet Newsdesk 17 March 2025, 13:33 An Israeli drone strike killed one person and wounded three others Monday in the southern town of Yohmor al-Shaqif in the Nabatieh governorate, the Health Ministry and the National News Agency said. 'An Israeli drone fired a guided missile at a motorbike carrying two people on the Hay al-Baydar road in the town of Yohmor al-Shaqif, hitting the motorbike directly, while a van that was passing in the area was hit by shrapnel from the missile before going up in flames. A blaze also erupted in a supermarket after being damaged by the airstrike,' NNA said. The Israeli army later said that it attacked two Hezbollah members who were "serving as observation operatives and directing terrorist operations" in the Yohmor al-Shaqif area. An airstrike had targeted the outskirts of the southern town of Ainata overnight, killing two people, as an Israeli Apache helicopter bombed three prefabricated houses in the southern border town of Kfarkela. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said the military targeted Ainata after "a stray bullet from a Hezbollah operative's funeral" hit the windshield of a vehicle in the northern Israeli community of Avivim. "We will not allow shooting from Lebanese territory toward northern communities -- we will respond strongly to any violation of the ceasefire," Katz said. The Israeli army later said that it attacked a headquarters of the Radwan force and Hezbollah buildings in south Lebanon, as a helicopter attacked Yaroun's outskirts for a second time. A November 27 truce largely halted more than a year of hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel, including two months of full-blown war in which Israel sent in ground troops. Israel has continued to carry out near-daily strikes on Lebanese territory since the agreement took effect. Israel had been due to withdraw from Lebanon by February 18 after missing a January deadline, but has kept troops at five locations it deems "strategic". The ceasefire also required Hezbollah to pull back north of the Litani River, about 30 kilometers (20 miles) from the border, and to dismantle any remaining military infrastructure in the south.
