Israeli media report: all drones fired by Iran intercepted
About 100 drones launched from Iran towards Israel have been intercepted, according to an Israeli media report.
The news portal ynet reported on Friday that the drones had all been shot down. The Israeli military did not confirm the information.
The Israeli Homeland Front Command told the population that it was no longer necessary to remain in the vicinity of air raid shelters.
Israel launched a large-scale overnight airstrike on Iran, targeting more than 100 sites with around 200 fighter jets, according to an Israeli military spokesperson.
The operation included strikes on nuclear-related sites and killed senior military commanders and scientists.
In response, Iran launched more than 100 drones towards Israel, with Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stating that Israel must expect "harsh punishment."
