Sharjah handball team clinches 15th consecutive Super Cup title
Crowning ceremony The team was crowned champions by His Excellency Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, and Dawood Mohammed Al-Malih, Board Member of the UAE Handball Federation and Chairman of the Competitions Committee. The event was also attended by His Excellency Mohammed Obaid Al-Hussan, Board Member of Sharjah Sports Club and Chairman of the Group Games Department, along with Jassim Mohammed, Member of the Group Games Department and Handball Supervisor at the club . A season of dominance With this latest triumph, the Sharjah Youth Handball Team completed a remarkable treble for the 2024–2025 season, having already won the League Shield and the UAE Cup, underlining their continued dominance in youth handball .

SSC's AI Committee holds its inaugural meeting
Committee vision and objectives His Excellency Issa Hilal welcomed the members and outlined the committee's objectives. These include harnessing artificial intelligence tools to enhance efficiency within the council and clubs, developing innovative solutions, and solidifying Sharjah's position as a leader in sports innovation. The committee aims to spread AI culture in the sports sector and guide council staff and club members in adopting AI technologies. Key proposals and initiatives Several ideas were proposed during the meeting, including the use of AI to attract technical trainers, develop young talent, and create training programs. The committee also discussed collaborating with the University of Sharjah to nurture student talents. Other suggestions included leveraging AI for sports media content, utilizing cloud servers for system hosting, and implementing AI to analyze social media engagement and sports facility monitoring. Upcoming third Sharjah Sports Forum The committee recommended incorporating AI-related topics and discussions into the third Sharjah Sports Forum. This event will feature an exhibition showcasing the most prominent companies in the AI field, focusing on the intersection of artificial intelligence and sports. Committee members The committee was formed under the leadership of His Excellency Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, with key members including Humaid bin Hareb Al Shamsi, Abdul Rahim Ahmed Al Hashemi, Hamad Salem Al-Baimani, Abdul Rahman Salah Bukhatir, Rashid Mohammed Al-Awadhi, Ghaith Raad Aman, Fatima Ahmed bin Masoud, Halima Al Jasmi, Matar Omran Taryam, and Mohammed Rashid Al Owais as rapporteur.
