The beauty entrepreneur, who announced the sale of her business, Rhode, just yesterday, stepped out to celebrate the news in Los Angeles wearing what we might have once called a Little Black Dress. Today, however, we're christening it in a new moniker: The Little Billion Dollar Dress. FIND OUT MORE AT ELLE COLLECTIVE Our new name for the classic Saint Laurent mini comes directly from the business of being Bieber as, pending approvals, she will sell Rhode to Elf Beauty for a cool $1billion. Should things go ahead as anticipated then it'll be one of the biggest beauty acquisitions in recent years. An impressive feat considering the brand was only birthed in 2022. Even though Rhode, the purveyor of the world's most photographed lip balm, moves into its new chapter, Bieber will still captain its ship to become its founder, chief creative officer and head of innovation. Why have one title when you can have all three? '[The position] expands my role into the world of beauty even more, and I just want to continue being a force in the space globally,' Bieber told Vogue Business. It's easy to understand why Bieber might have dressed as she did for dinner as the news of the sale went expectedly viral on social media. An LBD has long been a signifier of a celebration and good times and boy did she have much to celebrate last night. Yet, for all its connotations as being the party girl's uniform of choice there was still a midweek restraint to this business boss' approach. Over the top diamonds and accessories were abandoned for a starkness that the boardroom would appreciate. The strapless style was paired with razor-sharp Saint Laurent stilettos and a stealth timepiece on the wrist. That being said, a pair of sunglasses remained intact to prove that though Bieber might be the big boss now, she's still an LA It-girl at heart. To take on Bieber's approach would be to streamline a classic in a way that feels fresh. While the desire to over play a piece as simple as this can be alluring, pulling back can add great fashion kudos. So, choosing a great pair of shoes (ideally pumps with a striking toe front) and simple jewellery shall more than suffice. Freelancer

Jimmy Choo Relaunches Carrie Bradshaw's Favourite Shoes - Here's How To Buy Them Now
Carrie Bradshaw might have lost her Choo but the time has come for you to find your own. Launched today, Jimmy Choo has taken a visit back to its archive to reintroduce a series of styles from the nineties and noughties that include three pairs worn by Sarah Jessica Parker's character in the original series of Sex And The City. FIND OUT MORE AT ELLE COLLECTIVE Creative director Sandra Choi worked with fashion journalist Alexander Fury and designer Conner Ives on the edit that brings back seven styles from strappy sandals to knee-high boots. 'In our discussions it was mostly about defining the fashion moment at the time and the context of how the styles influenced and shaped the design aesthetic for the brand over time,' Choi told ELLE UK ahead of the launch. No wonder then that the collection runs the gamut to include every shoe an It-girl could want, and then some. Highlights also include a flat suede mule and a sandal held on by a singular rose-clad toe strap. As the brand approaches its 30th birthday next year, Choi is grateful for the pop culture moments that defined its early years — especially the Sex And The City appearances. 'I think the feather sandal 72138 has so much to answer for,' she explained. 'It was a turning point for the brand that firmly put us on the global fashion stage. What a lot of people don't know is that the sandal Carrie is wearing in the iconic opening title sequence is The Leo in leopard.' See it pictured at the top of this article. And then there is the knee-high boots that have been reconfigured for 2025 in python-printed leather that she wears to sit on her stoop. Though released nearly three decades ago, the seven styles speak to the designs many of us are looking to add to our wardrobe today — such is the cyclical nature of fashion. 'It is always important to reference the past in order to move forward,' added Choi. 'Fashion is influenced by popular culture; popular culture is influenced by society and so the cycle continues. Seeing Nineties and early Noughties references resurfacing, and how the new generation interpret them, is inspiring.' As if choosing seven styles from its rich archive wasn't hard enough, we tasked Choi to pick a favourite from the select styles. 'Personally, I love the first strappy design as a thong sandal on an 85mm heel. I remember they broke every rule possible at the time,' she offered. 'Those fine straps casing around the toes and the curve of the arch pushes enough sexiness so that you forget you are wearing a thong sandal on a high heel because you are going to have fun looking so fabulous! The thong is pure noughties nostalgia – the inspiration was a handkerchief top, a 2000s wardrobe staple. A simple design, but requiring hours of meticulous craft.' Launched just in time for summer, when we are all reconsidering what our shoe (Choo?) wardrobe looks like, each pair would offer the right amount of vintage styling to bring favourite wedding guest dresses or even denim jeans bang up to date. As Choi concluded: 'All of them are pieces of nostalgia that deserve a place in the wardrobe! Some of them are timeless, others are work of art with exquisite details and craftsmanship. Bella Hadid Acquires a Rare Piece of Cannes History—to Wear Out in London

The biggest story out of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival best-dressed list is its controversial dress code and the way stars are bending it to their will. The second biggest story out of the Cannes Film Festival red carpet is Bella Hadid's early departure. The model cut her usual fashion marathon short to celebrate her fragrance brand's U.K. launch in London. However, she didn't let the trip across the English Channel dim her usual vintage red carpet antics. In fact, she chose a May 16 party to follow casual boho studded bags and Nike Air Max sneakers with a veritable piece of Cannes red carpet history—never mind that she wasn't actually wearing it on La Croisette. Hadid left her hotel ahead of an Ôrebella launch party in a liquid silver chainmail dress by John Galliano. Timestamp: Fall 1997, when Hedvig Marie Maigre first wore it with wraparound metallic sandals. Nearly three decades later, a twenty-first century supermodel paired it with flowers in her hair and Jimmy Choo heels on her feet. Clocking that runway reference is only scratching the surface of this look's backstory. Within minutes of Hadid's look hitting the internet, Cannes red carpet historians and It-girl chroniclers came to the same conclusion: this vintage look had a second life off the runway. Specifically at the 50th Cannes Film Festival in 1997, when model and actress Milla Jovovich wore the same Galliano design to the premiere of The Fifth Element. There's simply no mistaking the asymmetric skirt, 3-D floral embellishments, and second-skin chainmail: They're all identical to Hadid's. At press time, it's not quite clear if Hadid tapped a stylist like Molly Dickson to dig into the archives for this piece, or if Hadid picked it out herself. The vintage boutique behind her find also hasn't stepped forward quite yet. Details aside, this Cannes red carpet throwback neatly lines up with Bella Hadid's proven track record with rare vintage finds—especially on the Ôrebella promotion circuit. When the brand first launched in spring 2024, she wore several archival pieces to press lunches and photocalls, including a Dior corset dress circa 2004 and a swirling floral Roberto Cavalli number. Selecting a piece of Cannes history to wear hundreds of miles away is nothing short of a fashion flex on Hadid's part.
