Marvel wants out of Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's explosive legal battle over Deadpool's Nicepool

The comic book empire is slamming the emergency brakes, pleading with a federal court to yank it out of the messy subpoena war over Deadpool and Wolverine's 'Nicepool' character.

Let's rewind. Blake and Justin, who co-starred in It Ends with Us, are no longer playing nice. Instead, they are locked in a bitter courtroom clash, throwing metaphorical popcorn-worthy punches. And somehow, Marvel's fictional feminist, Nicepool, got dragged into the battlefield.

An insider close to Marvel explained that the company is concerned the subpoena will lead to the unauthorised release of sensitive information that has nothing to do with the actual legal beef. Instead of diving deep into the Nicepool archives, they want the whole subpoena situation frozen until Ryan Reynolds' motion to dismiss as a counterclaim defendant is resolved.

Baldoni's legal squad fired back with some serious side-eye. They said that Marvel's counsel bailed during a negotiation call, dodging any real conversation about confidentiality concerns.
