Prophet's Mosque Welcomes 4,000 Itikaf Performers from 120 Countries
The Prophet's Mosque welcomed 4,000 worshipers from 120 countries for Itikaf during the last 10 nights of Ramadan, according to Arab News. Recently, Saudi authorities have completed preparations for accommodating 10,000 Itikaf worshippers in the Grand Mosque in Mecca and the Prophet's Mosque in Medina, according to Gulf News. At the Prophet's Mosque, the authorities directed worshipers to their designated areas, as follows: The western rooftop section for men, accessible via staircases No. 6 and 10 The northeastern section for women, with entry through doors 24 and 25A Chief of Presidency of Religious Affairs in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, Abdulrahman Al Sudais, stressed the significance of providing Itikaf performers with an appropriate environment for performing rituals. Currently, worshippers can find a dedicated help desk to secure lockers for their belongings, medical clinics as well as first aid. In addition, other services include multilingual translation support, religious lessons and full meal provisions for iftar, dinner, and sahoor. Prophet's Mosque welcomes 4,000 mu'takifs from 120 countries for last 10 days of Ramadan
Saudi Gazette report MADINAH — The Prophet's Mosque in Madinah welcomed 4,000 male and female mu'takifs from 120 countries as the final ten days of Ramadan began, in line with the capacity allocated for the Itikaf service this year. Mu'takifs arrived at the designated worship areas, including the Western roof, accessible via stairs No. 6 and 10, as well as the north-eastern section and entrance gates 24 and 25A. The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques has facilitated their stay with a range of services to ensure that their time in seclusion for worship proceeds smoothly. Among the services provided are dedicated service desks, luggage lockers, medical clinics, first aid, and translation support in various languages. 10,000 Worshippers to Perform Itikaf at Mecca and Medina Mosques
Saudi authorities have completed preparations for accommodating 10,000 Itikaf worshippers in the Grand Mosque in Mecca and the Prophet's Mosque in Medina, according to Gulf News. Recently, the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque opened online registration for Itikaf at the Grand Mosque and Prophet's Mosque. In this context, Chief of Presidency of Religious Affairs in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, Abdulrahman Al Sudais, stressed the significance of providing Itikaf performers with an appropriate environment for these spiritual rituals. Therefore, Al Sudais directed agencies affiliated to the presidency to intensify their preparations and hold more than 50 lessons on the rules of Itikaf. Haram Authority announces start of Itikaf registration
Saudi Gazette report MAKKAH — The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque announced the opening of registration for Itikaf at the Two Holy Mosques during Ramadan. The authority clarified that registration will close once the maximum capacity is reached. Itikaf will commence on the 20th of Ramadan 2025 and continue until the end of the holy month.
