Jordan-Syria trade exchange reach JD92.4 million in four months
Ammon News - Trade between Jordan and Syria reached JD92.4 million during the first four months of 2025, including JD72.1 million in exports and JD20.3 million in imports. The trade balance is in Jordan's favor, with a value of JD51.8 million, according to the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC).
The ACC stated that Jordanian products currently capable of exporting to the Syrian market are iron, cement, insulation materials, paints, and electrical cables. In 2024, the volume of trade between the two nations totaled JD115.9 million, comprising JD55.1 million in exports and JD60.8 million in imports, resulting in a trade balance that favored Syria.
Jordan exported to Syria last year a value of JD55,076 million, including food and chemical products, leather, live animals, and other products. Food industry exports ranked first, with a value of JD14,654 million, representing 26.6% of total exports, which amounted to JD55,076 million, the ACC noted.
Regarding the most important imports from Syria, they were plant products "pistachios" and animal products "live sheep", while the total imports from Syria last year amounted to JD60,849 million.
