Ambulance boat transfers person from Alderney to Guernsey
An ambulance boat and volunteers have been deployed to bring an ill person from Alderney to Guernsey. The Flying Christine III, which provides a medical link between the islands of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, was dispatched by the Joint Emergency Services Control Centre (JESCC) at about 21:40 BST and departed St Peter Port Harbour 15 minutes later. Ambulance and Rescue Guernsey said that, after it arrived at Braye Harbour, the medical team was transported to the Mignot Memorial Hospital and the patient was transferred by an Alderney ambulance ambulance boat arrived back in Guernsey at 01:00 on Wednesday and the patient was take to the emergency department by road ambulance.
