Pakistan's victory inspires unity among Kashmiris

Listen to article Pakistan's decisive victory in the recent conflict with India has reinvigorated the nation with a renewed spirit of determination, resilience, and unity. By thwarting the enemy's malicious designs, Pakistan has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to protecting its sovereignty and national security at any cost. Speakers at a dinner hosted in Islamabad by Altaf Ahmad Bhat, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) and senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, in honor of overseas Kashmiri leaders, stressed that this military triumph must also be leveraged diplomatically. They emphasized the need for Pakistan to mobilize special delegations to global platforms—including the United Nations, OIC, European Union, and key world capitals—to expose India's real intentions and human rights violations in Kashmir. Delegates should be given comprehensive briefings to present irrefutable evidence of Indian aggression, border violations, and humanitarian abuses to the international community. Addressing the event, President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir Europe Muhammad Ghalib stated that despite its clear defeat, India continues to resort to deceitful propaganda and conspiracies. He emphasized the urgent need for national unity and collective responsibility to counter India's disinformation campaigns - particularly on social media, where fabricated news is being spread to distort the truth and mislead the international community. He lauded the Pakistan Armed Forces for their decisive victory and a befitting response to Indian aggression, which not only protected the nation's sovereignty but also uplifted the morale of the entire nation. Chairman JKSM Altaf Ahmad Bhat emphasized that without a just and lasting resolution to the Kashmir issue, peace in South Asia will remain elusive. He urged the international community, especially the United Nations, to fulfill its promise of granting Kashmiris their right to self-determination. He appealed to US President Donald Trump to play a constructive role in resolving the Kashmir issue by the aspirations of the Kashmiri people to ensure sustainable regional peace. Highlighting the critical role of Kashmir's rivers, Bhat pointed out that the recent war has revealed how vital water resources are to Pakistan and how the country is vulnerable to Indian water aggression due to its control over rivers originating from occupied Kashmir. He stressed that until Kashmir is liberated, Pakistan will remain susceptible to Indian blackmail over water flow.

JKSM applauds Pakistan's victory

The Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) has extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Pakistan and its armed forces on resolute and dignified victory against Indian aggression, calling the development a testament to the nation's courage, unity and resilience. In a statement issued on behalf of JKSM and the people of Kashmir, spokesperson Dr Irfan Khan praised the valour and professionalism of the Pakistani military. He expressed particular appreciation for Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, the military leadership, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and all political parties for their united stance and strategic handling of the escalation with India. Dr Khan noted that the collective response reflected a mature and responsible approach that balanced the pursuit of peace with a firm defence of national sovereignty and the rights of Kashmiris. JKSM welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire, calling it a much-needed step toward de-escalation and a source of relief for the populations affected along the Line of Control (LoC). However, the group stressed that the ceasefire must serve as a foundation for meaningful political dialogue, one that includes the voices of the Kashmiri people. The spokesperson also lauded Inter-Services Public Relations Director-General (DG ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry for his unequivocal recognition of Kashmir as the central issue between Pakistan and India. Dr Khan said the DG ISPR's assertion that lasting peace in the region was unattainable without resolving the Kashmir dispute in line with the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions and the aspirations of Kashmiris resonates deeply with JKSM's longstanding position. "This candid recognition underscores the persistent centrality of the Kashmir issue in South Asian geopolitics and reaffirms the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people for self-determination," Dr Khan said. "It is a clarion call to the international community to acknowledge and act upon the imperative of a just and peaceful resolution to this protracted conflict." Reiterating JKSM's unwavering commitment to the Kashmiri cause, he urged all stakeholders to engage in inclusive dialogue anchored in justice, mutual respect and the genuine aspirations of the Kashmiri people. Any sustainable peace in the region, he argued, must begin with honouring the will of the people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and implementing relevant UNSC resolutions. Dr Khan stressed that Kashmiris must be active participants in all negotiations and peace processes, warning that bypassing their voice would render any resolution both unjust and unsustainable. He further cautioned that peace in South Asia is "inextricably linked" to peace in Kashmir. Referring to the five-day escalation between Pakistan and India, he said the episode once again exposed the region's vulnerability and underscored that Kashmir was not merely a territorial dispute but was a nuclear flashpoint. "The stakes are too high to ignore. Silence or inaction by the international community risks destabilising the entire region," he warned. JKSM called upon peace-loving nations, international organisations and human rights bodies to play an active role in urging India to end its occupation, repeal draconian measures imposed on Kashmiris and facilitate a free and fair expression of the Kashmiri people's political will under international supervision.

JKSM vows to take Kashmir freedom movement to logical end

Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to take the Kashmir freedom movement to its logical and rightful conclusion. In a press statement issued on Tuesday, the party spokesperson Dr Irfan Khan said no power on earth can suppress just and historic movement, which has been nourished by the sacred blood of hundreds of thousands of martyrs. "We are the custodians of their legacy and will continue their mission with full resolve. No amount of Indian repression can deter us from our political struggle," he said. Dr Khan said India has employed every tactic of oppression and brutality in an attempt to crush the legitimate aspirations of the Kashmiri people. However, the resilience and spirit of resistance among the people have rendered these oppressive measures ineffective. Over 500,000 Kashmiris have been martyred, and millions have been displaced as a result of Indian state aggression. Thousands remain imprisoned in Indian detention centres under draconian laws, while the region's most revered pro-freedom leadership is languishing in jails.
