Difficult start to season for Salisbury's Superbike Racer with crash before race
It's been a difficult start to the season for British Army Soldier and Bulford-based Superbike Racer Stephen 'Tommo' Thomas.
Competing within the Army Motorcycle Road Race Team, he started his attack on the 2025 Hel Performance British Supersport Cup championship on the weekend of May 17 – 18 at Donington Park aboard his brand new Triumph 765RS.
This is the main support class to the British Superbike main event featuring 2 free practice sessions, a qualifying, sprint race and feature race.
This event will come to our local circuit of Thruxton between August 8 – 10, 2025.
Setup issues during Friday Free Practice was subsequently followed by a crash at the start of the Saturday Sprint Race.

Despite huge efforts late into the eventing by the team, he was ruled out of any further competition that weekend due to bike damage. This was a missed opportunity for the Amesbury resident who had the pace to claim his first-ever Supersport Cup podium.
Tommo now has 4 weeks to regroup before the next event at Snetterton, Norfolk.
