Morgan Tech Park JROTC going to Washington
Jun. 10—Morgan County Schools Tech Park's JROTC Leadership and Academic Bowl (JLAB) Team will compete in the National Leadership Bowl Championships in Washington, D.C., Sunday through June 19.
The team includes cadets Lily Rogers, Logan O'Reilly, Kinzie Pretzsch and Emma Henry.
JLAB is an event that tests cadets' knowledge on various subjects, including leadership, academics and team collaboration throughout multiple rounds of competition, Henry said. This achievement places them among 36 other schools out of 1,450 nationwide, she said. This is the fifth time in the last six years that MCS Tech Park JROTC has qualified for the national championships.
