Steelers full 7-round mock draft update: Training camp edition

On Thursday, the Pittsburgh Steelers will kick off their 2025 training camp, so we are giving you a full seven-round mock draft update that includes a few surprises. It feels like the offseason moves the Steelers have made have them going all-in for the upcoming season and then going into full rebuild mode starting with the 2026 NFL draft. Let's take a look at all eight picks. First round - QB LaNorris Sellers - South Carolina It feels like Sellers is going to be the guy linked to the Steelers all season long. Sellers is an athletic marvel, and if he can polish up his passing, he has a chance to be special. Advertisement Second round - WR Ja'Kobi Lane - USC Lane has freakish NFL length and catch radius and is set to be the focal point of the USC passing offense in 2025. His physicality fits perfectly with what the Steelers ask of their outside receivers. Third round - CB Judge Collier - South Carolina Collier has prototypical NFL size and athleticism. He's aggressive and confident in coverage and a willing run defender. Third round - WR Josh Cameron - Baylor We come back to wide receiver because Coleman is too good of a playmaker to pass up at this point. Fourth round - S Kamari Ramsey - USC Ramsey is a very smart player who can break down a play quickly and rarely takes a mistep in the secondary. Advertisement Fifth round - RB Jonah Coleman - Washington Squatty, low-slung thumper who brings a hardhat mentality to the position and finishes every run. Sixth round - IOL Cayden Green - Missouri Powerful anchor in the middle of the offensive line and a very good developmental player with starter potential. Seventh round - OT Ethan Onianwa - Ohio State Rice transfer who outplayed all his opponents last season and has a chance to put his name on the map at Ohio State this season. This past week marked an exciting one for college football fans. On Monday, EA Sports College Football 26 was released for pre-order and premium edition users, with everyone getting access to the game on Thursday. Once again, USC is in the game. Throughout the week, USC football fan account TrojanFBx has been posting videos on social media of Trojans gameplay in the game. Here, you can see USC's pregame entrance prior to a home game at the Los Angeles Coliseum, including Traveler and the Drum Major stabbing the field. In one clip, you can get a look at Jayden Maiava throwing a touchdown pass to wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane. In another, you can see running back Eli Sanders taking a long rush to the house for a touchdown. The start of the 2025 college football season is continuing to draw closer and closer. The release of the video game gives fans another way to get excited for the fall. 'Lightning Quick' USC Talent Earns Massive Pre-NFL Draft Title

'Lightning Quick' USC Talent Earns Massive Pre-NFL Draft Title originally appeared on Athlon Sports. USC loaded up on talent for the 2026 recruiting class. But will the Trojans field a strong '26 NFL Draft group? Advertisement USC already has Ja'Kobi Lane hailed as the top wide receiver for the next class. Lane has competition -- in the form of a teammate of his. Makai Lemon earned his own No. 1 WR label ahead of the next draft. Lemon rises as Pro Football Focus's top wideout for the 2026 rookie class. Trevor Sikkema of PFF plastered the top label for Lemon. What are the traits that convinced the PFF analyst to place Lemon at the top of the PFF wideout board? Sep 7, 2024; Los Angeles, California, USA; USC Trojans wide receiver Makai Lemon (6) celebrates after scoring a touchdown against the Utah State Aggies during the second quarter at United Airlines Field at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Jonathan Hui-Imagn ImagesJonathan Hui-Imagn Images "At 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds, Lemon is on the smaller side. I have him categorized as a slot receiver, not just because he played 354 snaps in the slot compared to just 54 out wide in 2024, but also due to how he wins and his strengths," Sikkema explained. Advertisement But then Sikkema explained what separates Lemon for other wideouts. "Lemon is lightning quick," Sikkema said. "He has short strides but moves his legs like pistons in an engine, firing out of his stance to eat up cushion in coverage or getting vertical before defenders can adjust." Sikkema concluded how Lemon brings strong fundamentals for the WR spot. "He is also a nuanced and technical route runner, despite being just a true junior entering 2025," he wrote. "He knows how to set up defenders against their leverage and can find soft spots against zone by tempo-ing his speed at different points in his route." Advertisement Lemon or Lane could become USC's second first round WR in a span of three years. Jordan Addison represents the school's last day one selection at the position. 'Polarizing' USC Star Tabbed No. 1 NFL Draft Prospect for His Position

'Polarizing' USC Star Tabbed No. 1 NFL Draft Prospect for His Position originally appeared on Athlon Sports. USC failed to produce a first round selection during the April 2025 NFL Draft. Will 2026 become different? Advertisement One Trojans star is earning high praise. But also received a "polarizing" label in his pre-draft evaluation. Wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane surfaces as the top NFL prospect in the Land of Troy before the 2025 season. ESPN draft expert Matt Miller handed him that label. Surprisingly, Lane lands as the No. 1 wide receiver for the upcoming draft class. That position has emerged as a primary need for multiple teams on night one of the draft -- with multiple teams bolstering the position right away. What does Miller see in Lane that makes him highly intriguing? The draft analyst wrote this evaluation down. USC Trojans wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane (8).© Tommy Gilligan-Imagn Images 'I have the 6-4, 195-pound redshirt sophomore ranked higher than everyone and will continue to reside on that island. But he is a polarizing prospect who has many scouts needing to see more," Miller began. Advertisement He also looked past the number of touchdowns Lane produced. "Despite 12 touchdowns last season, Lane had only 528 receiving yards and was held below 50 yards in eight of USC's 13 games," Miller wrote. So despite the polarizing production, why is Miller high on the USC Trojan? "There isn't a true WR1 in this class yet, so, with a bit more consistency, Lane has the opportunity to rise and be the first receiver off the board," Miller said. Lane has every opportunity to ascend. He gets Jayden Maiava to throw to him for an entire regular season. Lane will elevate his name on draft boards if he improves his 2024 totals.
