Mika Singh Has This To Say About His Bond With Salman Khan

Last Updated: In a recent conversation, Mika Singh spoke about Salman Khan's much affectionate attitude with the singer after having a few drinks. Salman Khan is incredibly famous for his strong personality and bonds with eminent A-listers. Be it his close friendship with the Khans of Bollywood, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and others to his presence at his loved ones' special moments, Salman has never missed dishing out pure goals to his fans. Now, ace singer, Mika Singh spilled beans about Khan's extra affectionate attitude with him after getting drunk. In a recent interview, Mika Singh was asked about his longtime bond with Bollywood's Bhaijaan, Salman Khan. To this, the 'Mauja Hi Mauja" singer revealed that they used to reunite whenever they get time from their busy work schedules. 'Mujhe jab bhi mauka milta hain Salman Khan bhai se milne ka, toh woh bohot open ho jaate hain. Do drink ke baad woh aisa karte hain jaisa main unka bada bhai hoon. Ya shayad main Salman Khan sir ke level ka hoon. Woh aisa realise karate hain (Whenever I get the chance to meet him, he becomes very open. After two drinks, he treats me like I am his elder brother or that both of us are equals. He makes it so comfortable)," Mika told Shubhankar Mishra on his podcast Unplugged Shubhankar. Singh further added that Khan gets more affectionate with his inner circle after a few drinks. However, one has to remember their self-worth. He candidly added, 'Lekin aapko pata hona chahiye, chahe woh 2 peg ho ya 4 peg, ki woh Salman Khan hain! Toh agar apko ye pata rahega toh aap kabhi maar nahi khaoge (But one should remember that he is Salman Khan. If one knows this, then they are saved)." In the same conversation, Mika reflected on the early days of their friendship, and talked about their first meeting during Khan's 1999 movie Jaanam Samjha Karo, co-starring with Urmila Matondkar. 'Mujhe itni akal nahi thi ki main jaake unke paao paru aur bolu ki, 'Sir, mujhe aap ke saath ek gaana karna hain.' Woh bade pyaar se shoot dekhte rahe aur thode time baad unhone humare saath chai bhi peeyi. Itni akal nahi thi ki contacts le lein (I was so foolish back then, to not have approached him and asked for his contact. I should have told him that I wanted to sing a song for him. He saw the shoot and had tea with us later)," the singer continued. Despite not taking his contact, they formed a beautiful friendship while working together on several projects. Singh collaborated with Bhaijaan on multiple songs from the latter's movies, including Jumme Ki Raat for Kick, Aaj Ki Party for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Party Chale On for Race 3, Dhinka Chika for Ready, Desi Beat for Bodyguard and 440 Volt for Sultan. Salman Khan Is 'Different' After 'Two Or Four' Drinks, Says Mika Singh: 'Approach After 6 PM'

Last Updated: Mika Singh said that Salman Khan treats him like an equal after having two drinks. Mika Singh shares a strong bond with Salman Khan as he is aware of his social secret: do not approach Salman before 6 pm. In a recent conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, Mika revealed that Salman Khan has different personalities during the day and during the night. Mika said the superstar becomes friendlier after having two or four drinks in the evening. Mika Singh said, 'Salman Bhai raat ko kuch aur hote hain aur din ko kuch aur hote hain (Salman Bhai is a different person at night, and a different person during the day)." He added, 'Salman Khan is very open with me. After two drinks, he treats me like an equal. But this shouldn't make you delusional, regardless if you're two pegs down or four pegs down. He's Salman Khan. The problem is when people become arrogant early in their lives." Mika Singh shared an anecdote about the Meet Bros and their meeting with Salman. He said, 'I've never told this story, but Meet Bros once had biryani with him, and thought that they'd become best friends. They don't know what I know. I know that Salman Bhai is cranky during the day, and that you should only approach him after 6 pm, preferably with a song. Between 2 pm and 6 pm, stay away from Salman Bhai. And so, Meet Bros had biryani with him at night, and the next day they went to the premiere of Race 3." 'They stood there eagerly, waiting for Salman Bhai. He came and walked past them. They were stunned that he didn't even say hello. They'd just had biryani the night before! I told them that this isn't the time to approach him. You need to wait for the evening. It's not that he needs to have a few drinks to chill, but he just takes his time to get into the zone. During the day, he's lost in his thoughts," he said. Mika recalled his first meeting with Salman and said, 'I was a fool. I should've touched his feet and asked if I could sing a song for him. He was there on set for the shoot of 'Jaanam Samjha Karo', and he even had tea with us. But I didn't have the street smarts to get his contact details. He asked me to sing, and I sang with full moves. He must've been thinking what a cartoon they've presented before me." First Published:

‘After two drinks, Salman Khan is a different person': Mika has cracked the code to keeping Bhai happy, says he shouldn't be approached between 2 pm and 6 pm

Singer Mika Singh recalled several stories about Salman Khan, and said that he is one of the few people who know when to approach the superstar. He said that one should stay away from Salman during certain hours of the day, because he is guaranteed to ignore you. It is only in the evening that Salman opens up, and that, too, if music is involved. In an interview with Shubhankar Mishra, Mika recalled a hilarious anecdote about Salman rebuffing Meet Bros at the premiere of Race 3, even though they'd chilled together only a few hours prior. Mika then let them in on his secret. ' Salman Bhai raat ko kuch aur hote hain aur din ko kuch aur hote hain (Salman Bhai is a different person at night, and a different person during the day),' he said, adding, ' Salman Khan is very open with me. After two drinks, he treats me like an equal. But this shouldn't make you delusional, regardless if you're two pegs down or four pegs down. He's Salman Khan. The problem is when people become arrogant early in their lives.' Mika said that he was guilty of making the same mistake in his first meeting with Salman. 'I was a fool. I should've touched his feet and asked if I could sing a song for him. He was there on set for the shoot of 'Jaanam Samjha Karo', and he even had tea with us. But I didn't have the street smarts to get his contact details. He asked me to sing, and I sang with full moves. He must've been thinking what a cartoon they've presented before me.' Recalling the story about how Salman ignored Meet Bros at a movie premiere, he said, 'I've never told this story, but Meet Bros once had biryani with him, and thought that they'd become best friends. They don't know what I know. I know that Salman Bhai is cranky during the day, and that you should only approach him after 6 pm, preferably with a song. During the day, he's lost in his thoughts.' Mika said that Salman tends to call his friends up at odd hours of the night, and gets upset with them if they don't answer. Mika was caught in a similar situation when he was in Bali. He said, 'Salman Bhai loves to sing. He also loves calling people up in the middle of the night, sometimes at 4 am. And he gets upset if you don't answer. I was in Bali, and I get a call from him at night. He tells me that he wants to sing the song 'Hangover', and he sang on the phone. I thought he sang very well. Then he sang 'Jumme Ki Raat', and I didn't have the heart to tell him… That was supposed to be my song, but obviously nobody was going to tell him that he couldn't sing it. So, I texted Bhushan Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala, and I told them I knew what was happening…'
