This Actor Vanished After Hit Debut, Now Runs Rs 8,500 Crore Firm
Many stars enter Bollywood, shine briefly, and then disappear. However, one such actor is Girish Kumar, who made a blockbuster debut in 2013 with his first film ' Ramaiya Vastavaiya ', but soon vanished from the industry.
The film was directed by Prabhu Deva and featured Shruti Haasan alongside Girish. The music, especially the song ' Jeene Laga Hoon ', became very popular among the audience. The film performed well at the box office and Girish received numerous award nominations for best debut.
Everyone thought Girish would have a long career in Bollywood, but his second film ' Loveshuda ', released in 2016, failed to impress both the audience and the box office. Following this, Girish distanced himself from films and never appeared on screen again.
Although Girish quit acting, he carved out a new identity in his family business. Girish is the son of Tips Industries owner Kumar S. Taurani and the nephew of Ramesh Taurani. Tips Industries is a major music and film production company, which has delivered numerous hits like ' Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai ', ' Kya Kehna ', ' Roz ', ' Ishq Vishk ', and ' Race '.
According to a Financial Express report, Girish is now the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Tips Industries and plays an essential role in further increasing its market value, which stands at Rs 8,533 crore. His hard work and business acumen have expanded Tips to more than 1,000 wholesalers and 4 lakh retailers. As of June 24, 2025, the market value of Tips was Rs 8,533.4 crore, and Girish's personal wealth is estimated at around Rs 2,164 crore. This amount exceeds the net worth of Ranbir Kapoor (400 crores), Ranveer Singh (245 crores), and even Aamir Khan (1,900 crores).
Girish married his childhood friend Krishna Mangwani in 2016, and they now live a happy life in Mumbai with their child. While Girish may have left the glitz of Bollywood, his success at Tips Industries has shown that success can be found not only on screen but also in the business world.
