Apparel label Jack & Jones has launched a limited-edition streetwear collection in collaboration with Smiley World, featuring manga-inspired graphics, oversized fits, and bold colours. The capsule is has gone live across Jack & Jones stores in India and on its direct to customer e-commerce store. Described by the label as a head-turning drop, the collaboration emphasises individuality and style expression, the brand announced in a press release. The pieces are designed for everyday wear while also appealing to fashion-forward shoppers active on social media. Jack & Jones confirmed that the launch is part of a limited run. The collection includes oversized shirts, graphic t-shirts, sweatpants, caps, and sliders, all designed with distinctive back-prints and mood-led colour palettes. Standout pieces include oversized shirts featuring manga artwork and monochrome print caps. The design approach draws from anime aesthetics, combining grunge-inspired tones with statement elements aimed at digital-first consumers. Superdrug now selling clothes as part of a major shake-up
The expansion into fashion comes as Superdrug pushes to become more of a lifestyle "destination" rather than just a traditional health and beauty retailer Superdrug is now selling clothes on its online marketplace as part of a major shake-up. The health and beauty retailer will be selling clothes from 60 fashion brands, including Crocs, Jack & Jones, Skechers, Regatta, and Nike. The expansion into fashion comes as Superdrug pushes to become more of a lifestyle "destination" rather than just a traditional health and beauty retailer. Superdrug said the collection sold on the site has been "handpicked" due to their popularity and aims to meet customer demand for stylish plus-size clothing and inclusive options. Customers will still be able to shop the usual products sold by the brand, including fragrances, electrical appliances, make-up, and skincare. The clothes will only be available online, and will not be put into the retailer's high street strores. The move is part of Superdrug's wider growth strategy for 2025, which includes broadening product categories and investing in bricks-and-mortar stores. Superdrugs online marketplace sells over 40,000 products, and shoppers can earn health and beauty card points when shopping there. Superdrug chief commercial officer Simon Commins said: 'We are excited to offer our customers an even more diverse shopping experience, incorporating fashion brands that perfectly complement our existing ranges. 'We know this initiative addresses customer demand along with our ongoing commitment to offering an inclusive and broader product selection by giving our them the best shopping experience. The business attributed the success to 'its continued mission of being the most accessible health and beauty retailer on the high street, known for value and choice, and the ongoing popularity of its much-loved own brand range'. Last year, Superdrug announced it was opening 25 new high street stores across the UK, refitting 60, and expanding seven more. All openings and refits followed Superdrug's Sustainable Store Scheme, which works to make sites as eco-conscious as possible. At the time, Superdrug had over 830 stores across the UK and the Republic of Ireland - including 200 in-store pharmacies - if all the new openings went ahead its would now have over 850 brick-and-mortar stores.

Mega-rich Baby Boomers quit UK in wealth exodus over tax
[FRANKFURT] The patriarch of one of the Europe's biggest fortunes is among the latest wave of rich Baby Boomers and Gen X residents exiting the UK amid tax hikes aimed at the country's wealthiest denizens. Troels Holch Povlsen, the 75-year-old founder of clothing giant Bestseller, which owns the Jack & Jones brand, recently switched his usual residency to his native Denmark after previously citing it as England, according to registry filings. Elio Leoni Sceti, 59, the former chief executive officer of EMI Music and co-founder of an early stage investment firm based in London and San Francisco, has returned to his native Italy, a filing this month shows. Ricardo Leiman, 59, founding partner of London-based hedge fund KLI Asset Management, has also relocated to Italy, according to an April filing. Leiman, a native of Brazil and KLI's chief investment officer, declined to comment, while Leoni Sceti and a representative for Holch Povlsen didn't respond to requests for comment. The Holch Povlsen family has a net worth of about US$7 billion through closely held Bestseller, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The firm is now run by Troels' son, Anders. The departures underscore the growing unease among many of Britain's richest residents over changes to taxation, ranging from private equity investments to inheritances and capital gains. The 64-year-old has relocated to Abu Dhabi and Italy, where Goldman Sachs Group veteran Richard Gnodde, 65, is also moving. Frederic de Mevius, 66, a member of brewing giant AB InBev SA's three founding families, has returned to his native Belgium. Two of Britain's richest real estate investors – Richard Livingstone, 60, and his brother Ian, who turns 63 this month – have moved to Monaco, which doesn't tax personal income or capital gains.
