The latest domino to fall in the recruiting efforts of the Wisconsin football program is Jack Sievers, a tight end from Archbishop Murphy in Everett, Washington. Sievers is now the fourth player to commit to Wisconsin after the first official visit weekend.

The 6-4 prospect picked Wisconsin over Minnesota, Boise State, Oklahoma, and others. Tight end coach Nate Letton and offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes take a nice step towards rebuilding the tight end room.
The new Wisconsin tight end announced his commitment to the Badgers on his X account.
An additional benefit of Sievers' commitment to the Badgers is the hit the Minnesota Gophers took. The 3-star TE also had an official visit lined up with the Gophers on June 13th. Securing a pledge from a top target before they visit a rival program is always a significant advantage. Sievers is also scheduled to visit Boise State next weekend.
Scouting Report on Jack Sievers
Greg Biggins, a national recruiting analyst for 247Sports recently published this scouting report on Sievers:
Sievers is one of the region's top two-way players, and we really like the multi-sport background he brings to the table. A talented tight end who can really run and has a frame ready for the college game. Also, a talented edge rusher and good enough to play on either side of the ball in college, but is being recruited predominantly as a tight end.
Shows strong hands, can win 50-50 balls, and does a nice job catching the ball through contact. Strong in-line blocker who can manhandle an opposing edge or linebacker and has the toughness and physicality you love to see at the tight end position.
Flashes very good straight line speed and runs well enough to separate down the field, and will be a major weapon in the vertical passing game. Used quite a bit out of the backfield on end arounds and shows the speed to turn the corner and pick up chunks of yards.
Clocked a personal best 11.08-100-meter time this Spring and is a standout hooper who averaged a double-double in points and rebounds as a junior. Needs to continue to refine his route running and become a little more fluid in his ability to get in and out of his breaks, but the traits are there and he has a chance to be very good player at the next level.

247Sports has Sievers listed as the 33rd-ranked tight end in the country and the 5th-best player in the state of Washington.

On3 also has him as a 3-star prospect. According to the online recruiting service, Sievers is the 717th-overall prospect, the 41st-ranked tight end, and the 6th-best player in the state.
The 247Sports Composite, which compiles the grades from around the internet, has Sievers as the 658th-ranked prospect nationally in the 2026 class. He is the 34th-ranked tight end and 5th-ranked player in Washington.
Despite not being ranked very highly, Sievers has offers from a handful of Power 4 teams, including offers from Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Boise State, and Cal, among others.
The addition of Sievers now gives the Badgers 10 commitments in their 2026 class, and replaces Carmelow Reed as the Badgers' top-rated recruit after Reed flipped his commitment to Ole Miss.
