Badgers Stay Hot on the Trail, Land Commitment from 3-Star TE Jack Sievers originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The latest domino to fall in the recruiting efforts of the Wisconsin football program is Jack Sievers, a tight end from Archbishop Murphy in Everett, Washington. Sievers is now the fourth player to commit to Wisconsin after the first official visit weekend.

The 6-4 prospect picked Wisconsin over Minnesota, Boise State, Oklahoma, and others. Tight end coach Nate Letton and offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes take a nice step towards rebuilding the tight end room.
The new Wisconsin tight end announced his commitment to the Badgers on his X account.
An additional benefit of Sievers' commitment to the Badgers is the hit the Minnesota Gophers took. The 3-star TE also had an official visit lined up with the Gophers on June 13th. Securing a pledge from a top target before they visit a rival program is always a significant advantage. Sievers is also scheduled to visit Boise State next weekend.
Scouting Report on Jack Sievers
Greg Biggins, a national recruiting analyst for 247Sports recently published this scouting report on Sievers:
Sievers is one of the region's top two-way players, and we really like the multi-sport background he brings to the table. A talented tight end who can really run and has a frame ready for the college game. Also, a talented edge rusher and good enough to play on either side of the ball in college, but is being recruited predominantly as a tight end.
Shows strong hands, can win 50-50 balls, and does a nice job catching the ball through contact. Strong in-line blocker who can manhandle an opposing edge or linebacker and has the toughness and physicality you love to see at the tight end position.
Flashes very good straight line speed and runs well enough to separate down the field, and will be a major weapon in the vertical passing game. Used quite a bit out of the backfield on end arounds and shows the speed to turn the corner and pick up chunks of yards.
Clocked a personal best 11.08-100-meter time this Spring and is a standout hooper who averaged a double-double in points and rebounds as a junior. Needs to continue to refine his route running and become a little more fluid in his ability to get in and out of his breaks, but the traits are there and he has a chance to be very good player at the next level.
Jack Sievers in the Recruiting Rankings
247Sports has Sievers listed as the 33rd-ranked tight end in the country and the 5th-best player in the state of Washington.

On3 also has him as a 3-star prospect. According to the online recruiting service, Sievers is the 717th-overall prospect, the 41st-ranked tight end, and the 6th-best player in the state.
The 247Sports Composite, which compiles the grades from around the internet, has Sievers as the 658th-ranked prospect nationally in the 2026 class. He is the 34th-ranked tight end and 5th-ranked player in Washington.
Despite not being ranked very highly, Sievers has offers from a handful of Power 4 teams, including offers from Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Boise State, and Cal, among others.
The addition of Sievers now gives the Badgers 10 commitments in their 2026 class, and replaces Carmelow Reed as the Badgers' top-rated recruit after Reed flipped his commitment to Ole Miss.

Shaquille O'Neal Makes Clear Choice Between LeBron James and Kobe Bryant
Shaquille O'Neal Makes Clear Choice Between LeBron James and Kobe Bryant originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Following Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals between the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks, Shaquille O'Neal's time with "Inside the NBA" on TNT came to a close. Advertisement But despite the TNT farewell, it's not the end for the crew. O'Neal, Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith will continue the show on ESPN during the 2025–26 NBA season. Before he was an analyst, Shaq was dominating the NBA, winning four championships during his 19-year career. He even played with some of the all-time greats, such as Kobe Bryant with the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Many have claimed that the greatest NBA player of all time debate is between LeBron and Michael Jordan. But O'Neal seems to think otherwise. Sports analyst Shaquille O'Neal looks on during a Butler II-Imagn Images In an interview with Netflix Sports, O'Neal was asked to name the top ten players in NBA history. Surprisingly, he had LeBron listed at No. 3. Advertisement "Number three, I'm going to go with the King, LeBron James," O'Neal said. O'Neal proceeded to list his other former teammate ahead of LeBron. "Number two, I'm going with, rest in peace, Kobe 'Bean' Bryant," O'Neal added. O'Neal played alongside Bryant on the Lakers from 1996 to 2004, helping lead the team to the NBA's most recent three-peat. During that run, O'Neal earned three consecutive Finals MVP awards. He played with LeBron for one season (2009-10). While LeBron holds many of the NBA's records, Bryant won more championships, with five to LeBron's four. However, the current Lakers star surpasses Bryant in MVP awards, holding four compared to Bryant's one. Advertisement O'Neal finished his top ten list putting Jordan at the No. 1 spot. He also included other legends such as Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. O'Neal notably left off Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Shaquille O'Neal Didn't Hesitate When Naming the NBA's Best Player of All Time
Shaquille O'Neal Didn't Hesitate When Naming the NBA's Best Player of All Time originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Before he was an analyst for TNT's "Inside the NBA," Shaquille O'Neal was lighting it up on the court. Advertisement During his 19-year career, O'Neal won four NBA championships, including a three-peat with the Los Angeles Lakers. But his stellar resume doesn't end there, adding an MVP, 15 All-Star and 14 All-NBA selections. Yet not many fans believe O'Neal is in consideration for the NBA's best player of all time. That conversation usually is between Lakers star LeBron James and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan. In his 22 years, LeBron is top ten in nearly every statistical category, including the record for most career points. He was able to win four NBA championships with the Cavaliers, Heat and Lakers, along with four NBA MVPs. NBA analyst and former player Shaquille O'Neal. Cary Edmondson-Imagn Images Jordan, on the other hand, only played in 15 seasons, yet created arguably the greatest dynasty in league history. In the '90s, Jordan helped the Bulls pull off two separate three-peats, ending his championship count at six. He also beats out LeBron in MVP awards with five. Advertisement But O'Neal seems to think one of these players is better. On Tuesday, he sat down with Netflix Sports and named his top 10 players of all time, ranking Jordan as No. 1. "And number one, the greatest player of all time is Michael Jordan," O'Neal said. Despite the aforementioned GOAT debate, O'Neal seems to think it isn't close. In fact, he has LeBron ranked as the No. 3 best player of all time, with Kobe Bryant at No. 2. O'Neal knows a thing or two about facing both Jordan and LeBron. He went 5–6 against Jordan and 11–6 against LeBron, even playing alongside LeBron during his time with the Cavaliers. Warriors Turn Heads With Strong Steph Curry Message on Wednesday
Warriors Turn Heads With Strong Steph Curry Message on Wednesday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. After squeaking by the Houston Rockets in seven games, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors saw their season come to an end after falling to the Minnesota Timberwolves 4-1 in the Western Conference semifinals Advertisement The Warriors faced an uphill battle after winning Game 1, as Curry exited with a hamstring injury and never returned. Initially given a one-week recovery timeline, he was unable to get healthy, and Golden State went on to lose four straight games without him. During the 2024-25 regular season, Curry averaged 4.4 made 3-pointers per game, the most in the NBA. However, playing in only 70 contests, the former Davidson guard totaled 311 made 3-pointers, third behind Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards and Detroit Pistons guard Malik Beasley. Although he didn't lead the league, Curry still made history by becoming the only player to hit 300 or more three-pointers in six different seasons. He first reached this mark during the 2015-16 NBA season when he hit a career-high 402 shots from distance. Curry was also able to accomplish this last season as well, making 357 from long range. Advertisement The Warriors announced the news on Instagram. "6th Season with 300+ 3PM for No. have only been 10 times in NBA history that a player has reached 300 threes in a season." NBA fans were left impressed with Curry's achievement, taking to the Instagram comment section to share their thoughts "only missing szn was cuz of injury. truly incredible," one fan said. "Best player in the nba mj could never," wrote a second. "Look at curry's man so inspirational," added another. "Okc lucky they ain't see steph," commented a fourth. "Same guy, same GOAT," replied a fifth. "surprised he didn't get it 2022 championship year," added a sixth. Curry's former teammate, Klay Thompson, hit 301 in 2022-23 while James Harden made 378 in his 2018-19 season with the Houston Rockets.
