WBRSO: Louisiana woman charged after drugs, gun, unrestrained child found during traffic stop
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A traffic stop in West Baton Rouge Parish ended with the arrest of a Port Allen woman.
Jackie Honore, 44, was charged with illegal carrying of a weapon with a controlled dangerous substance, possession of firearm by convicted felon, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under 17, two counts of possession with intent to distribute Schedule I, possession with intent to distribute Schedule II, resisting an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, child passenger restraint violation, driving under suspension and improper lane usage.
The West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office (WBRSO) initiated the traffic stop around 10 a.m. Friday, April 25.
WBRSO said the stop took place on Rosehill Drive near Bueche Road and it was due to traffic violations including attempting 'to pass in a no passing zone and failing to maintain in its lane.'
As the stop unfolded, WBRSO found a gun, multiple drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a digital scale. Deputies said a child inside the vehicle was not properly restrained.

The sheriff's office also discovered a Smith & Wesson 380 caliber, 33 grams of crack cocaine, 26 grams of marijuana, and 8 grams of synthetic marijuana.
Honore was booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center on Friday.
