Twelve new farms join Our Farms Network across Wales
Farming Connect's Our Farms Network has been working with sector-specific industry experts since 2015 to drive improvements in these areas.
The network now includes 12 additional farms from various sectors, including red meat, dairy, woodland, and horticulture.
Over the next year, these farms will be the sites of on-farm trials and projects focusing on innovation and new technologies.
The farms are located across Wales.
Among the new recruits are Tom Clare and Jacqui Banks, who manage Pencedni Farm, Glandŵr, Pembrokeshire, a smallholding that integrates trees into its pasture-based system.
They plan to further develop their understanding and practical application of agroforestry principles on their farm.
Laura Simpson from Parc y Dderwen, Llangolman, Pembrokeshire, another new recruit, will investigate the establishment of perennial horticulture crops as a means of business diversification.
She plans to monitor and report on ground cultivation, planting, establishment, weeding, and pest management throughout the season.
