Former Georgia QB is now a college football analyst
Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Jake Fromm will have a new job this fall. He is joining Atlanta News First as a sports analyst. Fromm has spent time in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills, New York Giants and Washington Commanders. Most recently, he was a member of the Detroit Lions' practice squad for the 2024 NFL season. However, the Lions waived Fromm ahead of the 2025 NFL draft and he remains unsigned. Fromm will provide both pre- and post-game coverage with his new program, which debuts on Aug. 30. Georgia begins its 2025 college football season on the same day as the Bulldogs host the Marshall Thundering Herd. 'I'm so excited to join the Atlanta News First team and spend time with Georgia's passionate fanbase every Saturday this fall,' said Fromm. 'We're going to give them a fun show and make sure they've got everything they need before kickoff and after the final whistle.' NFL teams could still look to sign Fromm this preseason if they are looking for experience and leadership. Fromm has performed well in the preseason in the past. Fromm spent last season on the Lions' practice squad after joining the team late in training camp. He did not appear in a game and signed a future's deal to stay with the team after the season.
