Simaran Kaur breaks down on screen in a one-take emotional scene for Jamai No. 1
Popular drama Jamai No. 1 continues to engage viewers with its high-voltage storylines and emotionally charged moments. In the latest twist, the narrative takes a dramatic turn as Neel (played by Abhishek Malik) is wrongfully arrested in a shocking molestation case filed by Sayli (Sonal Vengurlekar). Amid the chaos, Simaran Kaur , who portrays Neel's devoted wife Riddhi, delivers a powerful, heart-wrenching performance as she fights to prove her husband's innocence and uncover the truth. What made this particular scene truly stand out was the emotional realism Simaran brought to it. To capture the helplessness, anger, and desperation of a woman standing up for her loved one, Simaran tapped deep into her emotional reservoir. The intense sequence was shot in a single take—a rare feat, especially for a scene that demanded such vulnerability and emotional depth. Known for her methodical approach to acting, Simaran took time to prepare in solitude, locking herself in her room before the shot to fully absorb her character's emotional turmoil. Simaran said, 'The moment I read the script, I knew it was going to be a challenging yet special scene. I didn't want to 'act' it—I wanted to feel every bit of what the character was going through. It wasn't easy. I locked myself in my room before the shot, read my script, stayed quiet, and allowed myself to truly absorb the gravity of the situation. I imagined what it would be like to see someone you love being accused of something so devastating—and to feel completely powerless. The emotional rush just took over, and I surrendered completely to the scene. I'm glad the team captured it in one take. As an actor, these are the moments that test your limits, but also leave you deeply fulfilled.' Simaran's raw and moving portrayal adds yet another layer of authenticity to Jamai No. 1, making it a must-watch for viewers. In the upcoming episodes, it will be interesting to see how Riddhi fights back to clear Neel's name. Will she succeed in uncovering the truth, or will Sayli and Kanchan (Papia Sengupta) manage to drive a wedge between the couple? Abhishek Malik on his tapri moment for Jamai No. 1: If I'm going to be a chaiwala on screen, I might as well be one off-screen too
In a heartwarming twist on Jamai No. 1, viewers recently saw Neel, played by Abhishek Malik, don the avatar of a chaiwala to woo his on-screen wife Riddhi ( Simaran Kaur ). As part of a unique romantic gesture, Neel takes Riddhi on an old-school 'tapri date,' where he dresses up as a teaseller and serves her a hot cup of chai, turning a simple beverage into a symbol of love and nostalgia. But what truly made the day special was what brewed behind the scenes! Abhishek Malik, who completely immersed himself in the role, decided to take things a notch higher, not just acting like a chaiwala for the camera, but becoming one for the cast and crew off-camera as well. Despite having never made tea before in his life, the actor surprised everyone on set by taking over the tea duty. With some help from the spot boys and kitchen team, he learned the art of brewing the perfect cup and went on a chai-serving spree during breaks between shots. Abhishek said, 'This track was honestly one of the most fun sequences I've shot in a while. When I heard the concept, I was instantly excited — it was such a sweet and goofy way for my character to express love. I thought, if I'm going to be a chaiwala on screen, I might as well be one off-screen too! I had no clue how to make tea, but the crew was super helpful. I learned quickly and decided to treat my on-screen family and the crew members on the set with a hot cup of chai — proper adrak, elaichi aur laung wali chai! I really wanted to give it that classic, cutting-chai tapri vibe. Though I still don't know if I got it right, everyone was super encouraging. It turned into this whole thing where we had a mini chai session between takes. Everyone was so sporting about it, even those who don't usually drink tea gave it a try. It just created such a warm, happy vibe on set. Moments like these remind me how much fun this job can be.' While Abhishek Malik's impromptu chai-serving spree and infectious energy left everyone on set with a smile and a sip of something special, the upcoming track will take a dramatic turn as Sayli (played by Sonal Vengurlekar) attempts to drive a wedge between Riddhi and Neel by manipulating situations and creating misunderstandings. Jamai No. 1: Rivals on-screen, supporters off-screen - Sonal Vengurlekar and Simaran Kaur's unseen bond
Jamai No. 1 continues to keep viewers hooked with its gripping narrative and dramatic twists. One of the recent standout moments in the show was an intense dance face-off between Sayli (played by Sonal Vengurlekar ) and Riddhi (played by Simaran Kaur ). While the sequence brought sparkle, tension, and emotion to the screen, behind the scenes , it was a personal triumph for Sonal, who had to step well outside her comfort zone to deliver the performance. Despite playing Sayli, a character who is portrayed as a trained dancer in the show, Sonal herself has never danced professionally before. In fact, she candidly admits that dancing was never her strong suit. So, when the script demanded a full-fledged dance battle with her co-star Simaran, instead of backing down, she chose to embrace the challenge. With limited time to prepare, Sonal immersed herself in rehearsals, working tirelessly with the choreographer and even receiving some helpful tips from Simaran, who plays her on-screen rival but was her biggest supporter off-screen. Sonal said, 'I was honestly a little nervous when I first heard about the dance sequence. Dance isn't something I've ever trained in, so it was out of my comfort zone. But as an actor, I love taking on challenges, and I saw this as a chance to grow. The team was very supportive, especially Simaran, she helped me understand the beats and gave me a lot of encouragement. By the end, I felt like I had achieved something big, and it took grit and grace. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Ótimas notícias para os cidadãos brasileiros! In the upcoming episodes, viewers will see Sayli doing everything she can to win Neel's ( Abhishek Malik ) heart and come between him and Riddhi.
